Greenhouses are useful additions to outdoor spaces for gardeners who want to grow their own plants, produce, and flowers. However, they are often large and can take up a lot of space.

Most greenhouses aren’t an option for homeowners with smaller gardens and yards; however, Outsunny has a mini greenhouse that doesn’t take up too much space. Usually £39.99, it is on sale at Yimbly for £35.99.

Yimbly is an online marketplace owned by Express’s parent company, Reach Plc, and shipping on a customer’s first order is free. The walk-in greenhouse has a plastic cover and four built-in shelves on each side.

Its overall dimensions are 143cm width x 74cm depth x 190cm height, and there’s also a large option on sale for £54.99. Outsunny’s walk-in greenhouse is also available on Amazon (£39.99), where it has more than 680 reviews.

One Amazon reviewer wrote: “Very good quality. Very good price. Really does the job.”

Another buyer was worried about the material, saying: “It can be a stronger plastic cover, not sure how long it is going to last. The size is perfect for my garden but I’m a bit worried now about how strong it will stay on windy days.”

Alternatively, another small greenhouse option is this McGregor Walk-in Greenhouse on sale at Argos from £50 to £37.50. It is designed with portability in mind as it can be picked up and moved around outdoor spaces.

B&Q sells a Polycarbonate Greenhouse Aluminium for £171. Ideal for a larger garden, it is 6.4ft in height and has a sloping roof that prevents water from collecting.

Back to the Outsunny greenhouse, another Amazon buyer left a detailed review, describing it as a ‘good mini greenhouse for a small garden’ and  ‘easy to assemble’.

However, they expressed concerns about it withstanding strong winds, adding: “Its position and exposure to strong winds needs to be considered when deciding where to place it, but there are guy ropes included and it is possible to weigh down the lower section of the cover with something heavy. So far, it has withstood 50mph winds in a sheltered corner of my garden with no problems.”

Another buyer concluded: “Fantastic, bigger than expected, comes in lots of pieces but is easy to put together. Bargain!”
