   Clough has built 3 fences for us. Deanne Clough (in the office) and Scott Clough (in the field), are both knowledgeable and personable. The job site was always kept tidy, the jobs were done quickly, and the workmanship always beautiful. Highly recommend this company.

   UPDATED REVIEW: In July 2025, we hired Clough Construction again, this time to help us fire harden our home. We needed to replace the wooden gates attached to the side of our home with metal gates. We looked around a lot to find metal gates that would look good, be reasonably priced of high quality, and maintain the privacy we had with the wooden gates.

   I remembered the great experience we had with Clough Construction, and sure enough, they had exactly what we were looking for. The Clough Construction crew were professional as always and did a fantastic (and quick!) job taking down our wooden gates and putting up gorgeous metal gates in their place. They did a great job cleaning up the job site as well.

   We knew we needed to replace the wooden gates next to the house for fire safety, but I could not totally envision how it would look when it was done. Our new metal gates have been in place for several months now, and we are thrilled with them. Clough Construction does such high-quality work. Additionally, the metal gates look great, and we did not lose any of our privacy. Once again, Clough Construction did an A++ job. Thank you so much, Clough Construction!

   Clough Construction does absolutely incredible work at a very competitive price. We had them replace about 200 feet of fence (that we share with two different neighbors) that was falling down. Clough Construction made the whole process so easy! They are fast & efficient and do beautiful, high quality work. They were careful with our trees and plants. They left our yard clean at the end of each day that they were here. And on top of all of this, we absolutely love our new fence — it is gorgeous! Plus, everyone with whom we worked — from Scott and Deanne Clough to foreman Raphael to the guys in the crew — was so nice and professional. We are huge fans of Clough Construction based on our experience!

   We could not have hired a better team to build our expansive deck project. The Clough Construction (Dream Team) were absolutely incredible. The owners, Scott and Deanne and their friendly staff seamlessly orchestrated our project with clear, consistent and thorough communication, and completed it on time and on budget. The whole process beginning to end was easy and enjoyable. Even the inspections went incredibly smooth without issues. We had an amazing, talented foreman, Rick and his dedicated crew (Braulio, Geoff and Forest) who were not only hard working, professional and skilled craftsmen, but so nice to have here for the duration of the project and our neighbors appreciated how respectful they were. Their attention to detail was meticulous, and every part was beautifully completed with integrity. It was very clear from the start they take great pride in their work and are creative in their approach resulting in an absolutely gorgeous deck! Our engineer said it was one of the best decks he’s seen.

   We cannot believe we not only have this absolutely stunning deck but it also represents our ideals. After reading about Clough’s dedication to sustainability we knew they would respect the intrinsic value of using the wood harvested from our 100 year old Redwood tree that had stood on our property. They were able to skillfully incorporate it with wood sourced from a sustainable forest (FSC lumber) creating an exquisite deck celebrating function, beauty and viability. Without hesitation we would unequivocally recommend Clough Construction. We hope to have them back to build our fence.

   Working with Clough Construction, and Marc and his team, in particular, was a great experience. We now have a beautiful deck. It was not an easy job either. The deck is up quite a steep slope in Baltimore Canyon, but they had no problem. On top of the great work that they did, it was a huge help that they could do the layout drafting, permitting and inspections with the City of Larkspur. The Clough family was a really pleasure to work with. If they were neighbors, we would definitely be having them over to enjoy our lovely deck!!

   We loved working with the entire Clough Construction team. Clough was extremely professional, responsive, and helped us choose the best material for our needs. Deanne and Scott were an absolute pleasure to work with and our new balcony/deck turned out stunning. We couldn’t be happier with the final product. The team, Quinn and Lowell, worked really hard and kept my husband and I informed throughout the process, which we really appreciated. Even when there were delays outside of their control, Quinn and Lowell, really worked hard to make sure our deck was completed before the year end. We really appreciated their hard work, friendliness, and professionalism throughout the project and we’re really looking forward to working with them again on our next project!
