   The travertine around our pool started to significantly buckle. We contacted Modern Desert Landscaping and talked to Nick the owner. Immediately, he gave us the confidence that his team could fix the issue, which required removing all of the travertine, compacting the dirt and then putting all the pieces of travertine back in place. They finished the job on schedule and the workmanship is top notch. The travertine is very level like a dance floor. I especially couldn’t believe how they managed to reuse all the different cuts of travertine and put them right back in place like a perfect puzzle. I highly recommend Modern Desert landscaping for your landscaping needs.

   Paid $8,200 for a beautiful yard—got a grass-infested nightmare instead.

   $8,200 later, my “new” yard is overrun with grass because demolition was done improperly. Nearly $3,700 was charged just for demo alone—yet grass is back, choking my plants. Months after contacting my sales advisor, I still have had no response. Looked great at first, but now it’s an ongoing nightmare. Buyer beware!

   Original review: We had an amazing experience working with Modern Desert Landscapes on the transformation of our neglected front yard. We were looking for a more sustainable, water-friendly alternative to the existing grass, dead tree, and poorly maintained plants left by the previous owners—and they delivered. Nick was fantastic throughout the entire process, offering thoughtful suggestions and keeping communication clear and open. We’re thrilled with the final result and definitely plan to work with them again when it’s time to tackle the backyard.

   With water price increases we decided to remove all the grass in our backyard. Modern Desert Landscaping put together a great plan to remove the grass and install an extension of our paver patio to include a beautiful pergola and artificial grass with a putting green. The work and people did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased.
