The BEST place to learn the pottery wheel
in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho!
Kiln It Art Studio is truly something special. Elijah, the owner, is incredibly patient, welcoming, and supportive. He takes his time walking you through the core fundamentals of wheel throwing—wedging, centering, pulling walls, shaping, and understanding the clay. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping you succeed and feel confident on the wheel.
The staff is just as amazing—kind, encouraging, and always ready with a warm greeting. Every time I walk in, I feel right at home.
There’s also fun for everyone here! If you’re not doing wheel work, kids and adults of all ages can paint premade ceramics. It’s truly a creative space for all, no matter your experience level.
If you’re looking for the perfect place to learn the wheel, build your skills, and be part of a wonderful creative community, Kiln It is it. Highly recommend!

I did the clay club at Kiln it. So fun! Such a welcoming environment where I could get tips and tricks and create some beautiful pieces. Definitely a staple small business in Rio Rancho. I took my partner and little sister and they both enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend as a family activity or solo hobby to start. Thank you!

I LOVE IT HERE!!! The guy that runs this place is the nicest ever and so helpful! I don’t want to leave. They have to coolest things to paint. I will definitely come back again (also Elijah what do you want from Dutch Bros?)
