   I’ve been working with Backyard Accents & Outdoor Kitchens to design and install a custom outdoor kitchen, and the experience has been outstanding. The team, especially was attentive, knowledgeable, and never pushy . From our initial layout through installation, they communicated clearly, delivered on schedule, and the craftsmanship is top-tier. Our new BBQ island is sturdy, beautifully finished, and truly the heart of our backyard. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for high-quality, custom outdoor kitchen work!

   We just purchased our first of many back yard pieces from Zach at Backyard Accents. They have beautiful, customizable pieces to really make your backyard the heart of any at home gathering. Zach was knowledgeable, not pushy and fair. I would hands down recommend visiting Zach at Backyard Accents!!! You will not be disappointed!

   WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KOKOMO GRILLS / BACKYARD ACCENTS
   My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. If you value your money, your sanity, or your backyard, run far, FAR away from this operation. This is the most dishonest, disorganized, and disgracefully run business I’ve ever encountered.

   I purchased a hot tub from Kokomo Grills thinking I was investing in quality and professionalism. Instead, I received a defective unit that never worked properly from day one. I reported the issue under their own warranty, and they dragged their feet for MONTHS with every excuse in the book—stonewalling, empty promises, and flat-out lies. After being told repeatedly that it would be replaced, they suddenly decided they “couldn’t help” because I didn’t provide a photo—after I had already disposed of the defective hot tub on their instruction.

   So now I’m left with no hot tub, hundreds of dollars lost in removal and disposal costs, and a company telling me to go dig through a landfill to find the unit they told me to trash. You read that right: they told me to dispose of it, then refused to honor the warranty because I didn’t take a picture after the fact. Who runs a business like this?

   Their customer service is appalling—condescending, dismissive, and completely unaccountable. Once they have your money, they’re done with you. They’re great at fast-talking when you’re buying, but disappear the moment something goes wrong. A toddler with a lemonade stand would provide more reliable service than these clowns.

   I’m filing complaints with the BBB, Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and the Attorney General’s office. If you’re thinking about buying from Kokomo Grills or Backyard Accents, ask yourself: do you really want to roll the dice on a company that treats customers like garbage and hides behind shady policies to avoid taking responsibility?

   Save yourself the headache. Go anywhere else.

   This company is not honoring the contract and deposit I paid. Shady and unethical. Now they refuse to give me my money back. They want 3k more than what my contract is for and claiming higher prices but that is why I locked in. They told me I could build whenever I was ready and even said one client took 7 years to build. Mine is only 4 years. Buyer beware! I’m going to BBB.

   Backyard accents was awesome to work with. We ordered a BBQ island two years ago, and put $500.00 down on it. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to move and were unable to pick up our grill. They held our down payment for us and finished the grill when we were able to move back and finish our house. Totally recommend them to work with and the quality of our island is great.Thank You!
