Had an excellent experience with this company, they came out in time and as scheduled, the quality of grass delivered was excellent and the driver was very helpful. I am a little over the month mark and the grass is doing great! Very please with the quality of grass and price. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Layed my grass last summer. Total spent over $500. For front and back. Half of the back is like a carpet, the lower half is dirt with a few sprigs on grass. What can you do for my front yard?
what a fantastic small business experience! I drove from Alamo Heights area because I needed 10 pieces of sod… They loaded me up in less than five minutes took my credit card right from the forklift… Amazing efficient experience. I would drive from anywhere in San Antonio to use these guys! More small businesses need to work like this.
Thought this place was great, until I found out the half pallet of celebration bermuda i ordered was actually TifTuf. I found out after i thought the grass was so beautiful id go back and buy 20 more pieces. The next 20 pieces were very thin, breaking apart. When i put them next to the original half pallet pieces there was a CLEAR difference. Took those pieces to a different grass distributor and he told me the first batch was TifTuf, the 2nd was actually celebration. Clear indicators are: TifTuf= bright green, vibrant. Celebration= cool tone, almost pine needle looking. Informed them of the mixup, they told me to just go buy 20 more pieces of tiftuf. I was okay with keeping the tiftuf- its beautiful, just scared that there might not be enough sun. I told them i wasnt planning on paying for those new 20 pieces of Tiftuf since they mixed it up in the first place. I would take them back the 20 pieces of actual celebration they gave me. They stopped responding. dates of transactions were 10/4/2025, 10/15/2025, 10/18/2025.
This spring i decided to try sodding my front yard which has only had mostly weeds for 30 years. I called the Grass Co. and talked to Howard. This was the second week in April and I know it was a busy time of year for him yet he took the time to explain to me why I should try Zoysia sod for my lawn which had a unique mixture of shade and direct sunlight. The order and delivery process went without any problems and the driver even placed the pallets in three separate areas of the yard exactly where I asked to be placed on a screenshot of my yard since I could not be there when the pallets were delivered. He was right about the Zoysia and I have recieved many compliments on its appearance. I have since called and asked him about lawn maintenance and he loves talking about that stuff. I highly recommend The Grass Co.
