   I have been all my life an enthusiast for plants and trees and I am proud to have a green thumb. Working for the Board of Directors of the Plaza Brickell we went under my leadership through 5 different landscape companies in a 3 years time period: the problem was always a lack of creativity and staying within a routine.

   Then Hurricane Irma gave me the opportunity to meet Rituparna Simlai. A beautiful tree was down and our landscape company told us there was nothing to be done. With Ritu’s directives we were able to save this tree. She then went onto a very creative and productive remodeling of our entire landscape in this community of 1,000 luxury condominiums. She integrated trees with flowers, multi-level landscaping, vertical landscaping. Not only she brought us an extensive knowledge and amazing creativity, but she showed professionalism and dedication with an attention to details. We saw her monitoring the installation of every tree and plant put under her directions.

   It was truly amazing to have the opportunity to see talent, hard work and dedication in one person devoted to what I will call Art, the Art of Landscape Design.

   My wife and I were fortunate to have hired Registered Landscape Architect Studio Arth’s Ms. Rituparna Simlai, who has a ​Master in Landscape Architecture​ from the​ Harvard Graduate School of Design. She prepared the necessary landscape design plans to aid in our acquisition of a permit for a major renovation of our home. It was necessary for her to work with the City of Miami’s Environmental Resources Division, as well as with our arborist on and offsite and she resolved several issues regarding the protection of the waterfront estate’s trees during the proposed renovation. Despite the sometimes stressful situation in dealing with a number of people involved in obtaining a permit, including an archaeologist, a surveyor and a permit expeditor, she was by far, the easiest of all to work with.
