My original contractor bailed when he started getting big accounts. I had small unfinished work. Chris McCoy was wonderful. He was working a few houses down. I called him, he came over and fit my small Job in. He finished it. He gave me pro tips, he gave me ideas on how to get my other project finished for less. He has a big crew and I saw the work they did on the neighbor’s house. They are very good. The owner is nice. Chris McCoy landscape is a professional company that I would recommend. He didn’t need to take time out for my tiny job, but he did.
When it came time to finally tackle the backyard landscaping, I reached out to Chris McKoy to come by for an estimate and to also hear his ideas on what we could do in our (very small) backyard space.
My main concern was to find a way to prevent any possible flooding issues that may arise from a strong rainstorm, especially since our backyard is located at the end of a small hill. Chris also shared the same concern, and was super knowledgeable and provided excellent ideas on how to mitigate the potential flooding risk.
I also wanted to incorporate a stamped concrete patio area, a strip of artificial turf with additional drainage underneath, and an elevated planter area with irrigation along the back fence. Chris offered the best suggestions and recommendations, and his estimate was very fair and competitive.
Although the wait time was around three months (which was made abundantly clear at the time of the estimate and I was totally fine with it), the wait was definitely worth it. Chris and his team did a fantastic job with coordinating all the steps required to complete our backyard, and he did an excellent job communicating with me about his schedule and updated timelines. He was able to work with me to get the exact vision that I wanted for my backyard.
In the end, Chris and his crew made sure that I was absolutely happy with everything. We’ve gotten quite a few compliments from neighbors and passerbys, and I’ve already recommended Chris to others who were interested in having their backyards landscaped as well.
Chris was professional and helpful at every step of our relatively small outdoor lighting project. He provided additional design ideas that really improved the overall results and didn’t increase the cost of the work. After providing a thorough estimate, he put no pressure on us to make a decision and after selecting him for the job he was able to perform the work the very same week. He personally supervised his crew during all of the important portions of the installation. Once the work was complete he walked me through the technology and maintenance of the equipment personally. Finally, he came back a few hours later to observe the results and make minor adjustments after dark on the day of installation.
I would use Chris again for additional work and I would recommend him to friends, neighbors and colleagues.
We had been trying for years to get our front yard xeriscaped, but we kept running into roadblocks and it was in sad shape. Chris and his team came out and got it done. Our yard now looks fantastic, with lots of drought tolerant, pollinator friendly plants and a beautiful dry creek bed. The price was reasonable, considering all the cleanup and irrigation system repair that needed to be done. They had a lot of bookings ahead of us so we had to wait a bit for them to start but once they did, they worked quickly- everything was done within 3 days..
If you look in the dictionary under perfection you will see a picture of Chris Mckoy. He and his staff are professional, honest, and caring. They do an outstanding job for a fair price. They did a wonderful job in my back yard and made it look better than I could have imagined. Chris made sure everything was first class down to the smallest detail. The customer service and follow up was outstanding. Thank you Chris.
