We hired Miridae last year to design and build a new backyard for our home. I wanted to live in the backyard for a while before submitting a review. It was definitely a pleasure working with Rowan as the designer and Brenda as the project manager during construction. Rowan came up with a beautiful design with drought-friendly and California-native plants. The crew was also professional and we had no issues during construction.

I’m knocking them one star for the issues we had with the installation of our DG paths. From the get-go the DG did not appear to handle water or rain well and eroded quickly. We communicated these issues immediately after construction but we never really felt anything got resolved.

Even though we had issues we’d still recommend them if you are looking to work with a good designer and experts in installing drought-friendly and California-native plants.

We were able to buy native plants from Miradae’s plant nursery truck at our garden club meeting and after hearing Grace share information about attracting pollinators

We are thrilled with our results from Miridae! We wanted someone who could redo our front yard from start to finish – from design to plant choice to concrete to the finishing touches, they did it all (Morgan even helped us pick a new mailbox)! We are thrilled with the results and love our new front yard featuring California native plants. Can’t wait to use them again to do our back yard!

The Miridae team transformed the outdoor environment of our new, sustainable passive home from construction site to a beautiful, pollinator-friendly California native landscape. They did a structured front garden and entry path, with weirs to help the rainwater percolate onsite; and less formal backyard spaces that include a planting area to receive all the home’s graywater. The team was attentive to my goals and to the site itself from design through install. We are loving our outdoor oasis!

Miridae went above and beyond my expectations to transform my front yard into a native California plant community. From design to build and follow up, the Miridae team demonstrated a real passion for achieving my vision!
