John is truly an artist! We have a large, (about 50×20 ft) sloped front yard. One year ago it was hard soil and weeds. John transformed it into a hillside garden using California native shrubs, grasses, trees and wildflowers and used logs, stones and branches to create shapes, pathways and boundaries. He did a lot of work conditioning the soil. It was all worth it! The garden is really lovely and looks totally natural. It changes with the seasons as flowers self propagate. We enjoy it every day when we walk in front of the house. There is always something new to discover. The plants attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors and passersby. We are very happy with the results. Thank you John!

As we sit enjoying our evening out at the local cocktail establishment, we are currently planning a wedding party in our ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS garden professionally managed by John the gardener. Our garden is immaculate, covered in flower, weed free, watered, curated, maintained and kept looking its best by the best landscaper in the business. John.

We rest easy, we look out on our deck, enjoying the morning air, sipping espresso from tiny cups and look at our expansive years in the morning light, we look and admire, drinking deep the view, the beautiful landscaping from John keeps out yard fresh and out spirits high. We enjoy our mornings, our afternoons, out weekend get togethers, knowing, secure in the fact, the John has been busy, keeping everything ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and looking amazing. We love the service and will continue to have him.

If you select, no; if you are so lucky as to have John as your gardener, you will not be happy. You will have the best garden you can have for your life. You will be delighted to have the best, the San Francisco elite landscape artist maintaining your garden’s life, evoking passions and making a statement about how this house and property lives. This is not a light statement. This is the truth of how San Francisco land scaling is done. This is who does it. Thank you for your time.

John was extremely helpful through the entire process of redesigning our patio in Pacific Heights.

He gave feedback on some of our initial ideas and was communicative and transparent on the design, purchasing of materials & shrubs / plants, and his timeline of work.

John’s also very helpful in sharing his experience / advice on how to take care of our patio to newbies like us!

    Thanks and definitively would recommend.

John is a phenomenal craftsman – you’ll spend a lifetime looking for people who enjoy their work as much as he does. He did a wonderful job of fixing the landscape of our Noe Valley home.

For both the front yard and the backyard John went above and beyond anything we expected. He completely fixed our backyard garden so that our two-year-old could have a safe and beautiful area to play.

We plan to use John and all of our future gardening adventures – You cannot go wrong hiring this professional.

John is personable, joyful and has a serious love of creating beautiful spaces — big or small! Our job was several small areas in our very vertical SF home, and he brought energy and enthusiasm to the whole project. He was open to listening to what our family wanted and had a great kindness in pushing back on areas that he felt would be better served by a different approach with plantings. It was super fun to collaborate with him, and he really invites you to be part of the process. Thank you, John!
