   Working with Meise Design Group was the best experience!

   We went under contract in April 2024 to build a home here in Arizona while we were living in Virginia. As we got closer to the completion date (January 2025), we began our search for landscaping professionals. MDG was recommended to us from an architect we’ve been following on Instagram for several years. Between that recommendation, MDG’s own Instagram portfolio, and their online reviews, we thought this might be a fit.

   We initially worked with Andrew, who was super accommodating – first working with us over email and Zoom, then meeting us at the homesite in person when we flew out here for progress checks. He was great working with two people who have never had any outdoor space (former apartment/condo/townhouse people) and were mostly clueless about what we wanted other than some Pinterest inspo photos. And he was also just so perfect for us specifically – he is a former east coaster himself and a dog-person – so he knew to explain things we wouldn’t know (e.g. window reflections can melt turf in this Arizona heat) and how to prioritize our dogs’ needs (e.g. our pool has a ledge so if a pup falls in, they’re not far from safety).

   There was never any pressure – to go a certain direction, to exceed our budget, or to hurry up with decisions. Andrew was always prepared to talk in detail about options, tradeoffs, and pros/cons – and to let us see how those different things would look using his design software.

   We eventually landed on a design that we loved, that met our HOA requirements, and that met state and local requirements – all of which MDG took care of (e.g. HOA application info, county permits, etc.).

   Eddie and the teams on our property to complete the work were great. Everyone was kind, everything was kept as tidy as possible throughout the work; someone even came over on their day off because of a big rain storm – just to make sure everything was put away.

   Our project wrapped on time, on budget, and on expectations. We had a super informative final walkthrough – letting us know how to work everything, when to maintenance things, etc. And then we’ve heard from the team a few times since – just checking in on us.

   Our backyard is our sacred space – we LOVE it. All our guests love it. We’ve caught neighbors taking photos as inspo for their own yards. It’s very simple because it prioritizes our view and our pups, but we’ve seen much more elaborate work MDG has done – so whatever your project, we would highly recommend MDG!

   My wife and I are new to the Scottsdale area so we didn’t have much to go off of regarding experience with landscape contractors. After interviewing three companies, we chose Meise Design Group for our backyard raise and rebuild. We couldn’t be happier with the process and finished results.
   It was a smooth process working with Andrew, Eddie, and the entire Meise crew.

   Andrew was very attentive to our questions and concerns. He got us involved in all of the decision making by asking us questions and laying out all options over and over again, so we could come to a solution that was suitable for us.
   Andrew was always available for us throughout our project. At times I would text him as early as 6:00AM and he would respond right away.
   Their quality of work is undeniable. They pay attention to every detail, as you can see in the attached photos.
   I felt there pricing was fair. We had a few cost overruns but this was because we wanted a few upgrades- Not because he changed cost midway thru the project.
   Our project was finished on time and we were so impressed we asked them to gut and redo our front yard as well!
   MDG gets nothing less than a 5.0 rating and I highly recommend using them on your landscape projects.

   January 2015 – Meise Design Group just finished a complete new landscape of our backyard in Arcadia. We purchased the house with minimal landscaping. I had seen the Meise Brothers working around town and all of the work I had seen was amazing. I felt like they would be super expensive since all their work is top notch. After meeting with Andrew and explaining what we wanted and our budget, he worked tirelessly with us to design a dream backyard around our budget. Andrew is a genius with AutoCAD design and kept making all the revisions we asked for. The installation was quick, clean and amazing how hardworking and honest these guys are. Their work is absolutely top notch and I’ve never seen more dedicated and hard working guys work outside in the summer. Andrew never tried to up-sell us and kept offering great ideas for cost savings. They installed beautiful synthetic grass in the front of the house and great real grass, trees, pavers, plants and flowers in the back. They even installed a smart wifi irrigation timer that automatically adjusts the water as the forecast calls for. I really appreciate all these guys did and would highly recommend them to anyone in the future for commercial or residential design and installation.

   Update 3/28/2025
   We moved into a new home and once again Meise Design Group completely redesigned our backyard into the perfect oasis. This time with kids and dogs in mind so they added lots of beautiful synthetic turf, shade trees and privacy hedges. Again they knocked it out of the park with speed, great value and perfection!

   I had a hard time getting landscape architects to even give me quotes, so I was excited when I found Meise and got quick responses from Andrew. He took my long list of scattered ideas to renovate my backyard and was able to shape them into a cohesive experience, even adding some great ideas that we folded into the final product while also talking me through cost cutting options. The team was always open to my asks and very constructive in how to get the results I wanted; I never once heard “no” or “we can’t do that”. The install team worked fast and did an awesome job. I am attaching samples of their work, both designs and finished product, since the photos that other reviewers shared were part of what convinced me to go with Meise for this work. I was initially suspicious of the consistent 5-star ratings, but the photos that so many reviewers posted made me more confident that they were legitimate. I only wish this platform allowed me to add more pictures so that I could give the full view! These guys were consistently awesome and I have been recommending them to everyone. Highly recommend.

   It was a pleasure working with Andrew and the whole Meise group. Andrew spent a lot of time with me going back and forth on the design and gave helpful input. Once the design phase was complete, Andrew set a date for when installation was to begin. Installation started on the exact date that Andrew told me and his crew did not leave until the job was completed. The craftsman ship and attention to detail is unparalleled. I haven’t had that great of an experience with any contractor and will be working with them again on Phase two of my project.
