Gravel road to parking lot. Keep in mind, google Map will only lead you to gravel road. Parking for approx 30 vehicles. Nice well maintained paths. Some great spots with benches to rest and enjoy Rio Grande views with nature. Along the trail, you get direct access to river

The river looks very low now (Feb-March) but it’s still a very beautiful place to walk with your dogs. There’s a few trails, long or short depending on how much you want to walk. One trash can at the entrance and another towards the NE side. It’s more beautiful during autumn because the trees turn a beautiful color! There are a few sitting benches along the trail. I take the long trail and it’s about 45 min walk. Great spot for doggies to find sticks! There’s also a few trails that lead to the rio where you can let the doggies swim. No restrooms, also great for bike trails.

Great trail. Flat, partially shaded 1.8mi loop that passes the Rio Grande.
Great off street parking as well.

It’s a nice trail that looks to be pretty well kept up. Looking at the maps I thought it would have more views of the river, but there was really only one spot that got all that close to the river. When I went it was during the monsoons and parts of the trail were flooded and very muddy. It was still a nice walk. The road to the spot is pretty easy to miss and it’s a bit on the thin side of things. The road is maintained it’s just something to keep in mind with larger vehicles at busier times.

This trail is a really nice mild walk. It was a bit before sunset and we made it just in time before it got dark. About 2 miles all the way around. We were there about a total of 1.5 hours taking in the scenery and putting my feet in the river. I will bring my elderly mother next time since she has a walker and this trail will be easy for her to walk.
