I’ve stayed at my fair share of resorts but this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a review. The customer service here stands out. Kimberly and Daisy at the front desk went above and beyond for my wife and I. They simply made our trip feel special and memorable. We also had the pleasure of being waited on by Daniel at Cibolo moon, he was also outstanding. So personable. The golf and spa were obvious great, but the service was stellar and made the trip extra special.
Exceptional Staycation & Top-Tier Service!
I recently stayed at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa for a staycation, and it was exactly the getaway from the city I needed. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and incredibly welcoming.
The staff here truly understands hospitality. Upon arrival, the front desk team was extremely helpful and professional. They were able to accommodate a room upgrade, which featured a stunning view of the rolling Hill Country. It’s rare to find a team so willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect.
We were there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the resort went above and beyond! They surprised us with some really cool personal touches to make the day feel special. It’s those small, thoughtful gestures that separate a standard hotel stay from a true luxury experience.
If you are looking for a “staycation” that feels like a world away, this is it. Even though it’s just a short drive from downtown San Antonio, the 600-acre property feels like a private oasis.
I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a high-end escape with service that actually matches the price tag. We will be back!
The JW Marriott San Antonio is really beautiful. They worked really hard on the grounds. The amenities and the staff were lovely. They are very helpful, friendly and attentive. The on prem restaurants are wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about the jw marriott in San Antonio. Great for company and conference meetings. Special thank you to Stacy who made my stay extra special by resolving quickly a small check in issue I had.
We had an excellent stay at the JW Marriott San Antonio and the service across the entire property truly stood out.
From the moment we arrived, Giovanni at the front desk was welcoming, professional, and made check-in feel easy—especially appreciated on a busy stay. Renne in Reservations was also fantastic and helped everything come together smoothly, which makes a huge difference when you’re coordinating plans.
On the dining side, we loved both Fiamme and 18 Oaks Steakhouse. At Fiamme, Ayham was awesome—friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel personal (and the pizza was exactly what we needed). 18 Oaks was also a standout with a great atmosphere and an excellent meal.
Big thanks to Giovanni, Ayham, and Renne for taking such great care of us. We’ll absolutely be back.
We visited the ice sculptures featuring the story of Frosty the Snowman. The parking area was well signed but finding the venue from the parking lot was a bit of a goose chase. Once we were in the appropriate ballroom, it was an outstanding experience. I want to make note that every single employee in and around the sculptures was not only friendly and helpful but we’re engaging. The hotel has attracted young folks with warm and caring attitudes, excited to be there to serve the public. It was truly wonderful. For example, every question I asked a staff member was answered intelligently. Details right down to the young lady who sold me a cup of delicious hot cocoa made me feel special. That was noteworthy. After touring the sculptures, we walked over to main hotel building to see the 50 foot Christmas tree (that the very helpful parking attendant informed us about). The entire hotel complex is so clean and inviting! We would have stayed for dinner but the restaurant was booked over a week ago. The JW is a beautiful venue!
