My interaction with Chris started well and I genuinely believe that he means well…HOWEVER, I had several issues w/my service quality.
    Promises/Initial ideas: A Execution: D Follow up: F
Best way to sum it up: He overpromised and under delivered.
I wanted my re-design to have riverrock & a steel border. I need something VERY low maintenance especially for weed control. When we spoke, he suggested larger stones for the border and promised to spray for weeds, put 2 layers of weed fabric down and repeatedly said “I’m going to take care of you, you’re not going to have to worry about anything, and if you have any issues call me -I’ll come out and fix it” We also discussed solutions for my pool drain hose, he suggested a drain in the rocks. (also same for a downspout)
    Issues:
#1- His original estimate was 3x LESS than the final cost. In part because of changed materials (I agreed to) but also, he repeatedly procured less materials than needed to finish the job. (honestly, I had priced out material to do it myself when I couldn’t get responses from other companies & thought he underestimated, but hey, he’s the professional, right? and figured I had calculated wrong.) But each time, it was… need more money to buy more materials.
#2- within weeks of completion weeds were growing THROUGH the plastic. So: a) he never sprayed, b) the weed plastic is cheap crap c) it was installed with gaps and holes (which I pointed out during the installation and assured it would be fixed before the stone was placed or d) all of the above. (his dad and crew did most of the installation, and I’d guess it was NOT done to the standard promised)
#3- the pool drain was NEVER installed. (i got 2 drains, but not the one needed MOST) when I asked as we walked the final product— his dad says… It’s fine. (well, my collapsible hose pumps out about 1/2 volume going up and over the border wall, so it’s NOT fine)
#4- the stone border is only glued for 1/2 the border and is loose/moveable everywhere else.

The day he finished, we walked the project (which BTW looked AMAZING) he says, I’ll come back & fix anything that comes up- I’m not going to abandon you. (I knew he had a big concrete job coming up) I told him I would not write a review until EVERYTHING was finished. (hence why this is months later)

Since then I’ve texted, emailed (including a detailed list) and get told… I need to come out and you can show me, and every time he doesn’t contact or show up.
I sent pictures in Sept, I was told the weeds are a “maintenance issue”—ones on top of the rocks? sure. Ones growing from under- NOT what he said he was going to do. AND, when pulling weeds up, I pulled up a square of fabric so it’s either cheap, or pieced together. Either way, NOT what I was promised or described.

I originally mentioned several other things I wanted/needed done like weed treatment for my lawn, inspecting/fixing my irrigation, helping me design flowers in pots to go in the stoned area- and none ever materialized even though I got told.. “I got you” (thankfully, I didn’t pay for anything up front, either)

He means well, but I’m not sure he understands how to run his business. The day they finished he practically begged me to pay him that night so he had money to buy materials for the job the next day (the concrete), he actually asked me if I could loan him money personally to tie-over a business expense! He didn’t take notes well as we started planning and when things were mentioned again, I got told… Oh, I forgot.
For someone who’s not “professional”, how’s my estimate of materials needed for the job closer then his original estimate? (twice, he told me they needed to buy more materials and asked that I pay for it up front) I asked to see an itemized list of billable hours/material (of course, promised and never produced) for the project as he finished.

I’m sure the positive reviews are true and genuinely his expectations of delivery.
But the negative ones aren’t wrong either about his inability to deliver and complete the job as indicated.

Professionalism doesn’t even begin to describe this company and all of their workers. Outstanding job, attention to detail, prompt and timely, came in competitive in price without skimping on quality work and materials. 100/10 recommend for any of your landscaping needs! They have gained lifelong customers and in today’s market that speaks volumes.

We bought a house that had an irrigations system that had not run for 20 years. This system had many breaks in the pipes, needed a new timer and sprinkler heads that just popped off. It did not look salvageable to me. But after 1 day of work (they didn’t leave until the work was finished) all 6 zones worked like new. That was impressive. These people truly care about “service”. They made us feel as if we were the most important people of the day and it was so important that we were happy with the work they did. The cost of service was very reasonable. I will be hiring them for all my landscape needs. I will recommend them to everyone.

I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled I am with this company! Chris contacted me within less than 30 minutes of me putting in a request, and he was able to come see me for a consult the same day! I immediately had a good feeling about him, and I was so right!

From consult to completion was less than a week, and Chris and his team were absolutely stellar. Chris took time to listen to my likes and dislikes, and went above and beyond to help choose plants, trees, and rocks for my flower beds that I absolutely adore–and to ensure they will last for years to come. Thank you SO much! I will be recommending Tampa Landscape Solutions to anyone looking for an amazing landscaping company!

We had Tampa Landscape Solutions come out and lay new sod, rearrange our flower bed and add some new plants to it to spruce it up. This is a family owned business and we’ve had the chance to work with Chris and his father, Randy. Randy just came by for a 2 week check up on the sod and is one of the nicest people we’ve ever worked with. Super knowledgeable, reliable, affordable and friendly! We are excited to continue working with them.
