I’ve visited several lumber yards in the area and Berco Redwood is my favorite. They have lots of stock, different grades of wood, onsite mill, and hardware needed to complete just about any project. The place is clean, easy to access with enough parking.
The absolute best part of Berco is their staff. Nick in particular. We had a project we were working on and Nick was super helpful with ideas, tips and the design. He was able to take our sketch and put together a parts list that included everything we needed. The best part is it included an estimate of cost. I could not be more happy about my experience.
The staff in the lumber yard are incredibly helpful. Some of the pricing signs and lumber labels are missing, though, which makes planning and pricing a project difficult without an estimate from the sales desk. Until I’ve decided on an exact design, I like to trade materials in and out from my project list until I’ve made a decision. Without pricing information, it doesn’t allow me to change my plans easily before ordering. I may be using them for projects in the future as their pricing seems fair, the lumber quality is excellent, and the yard staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The delivery charge is affordable, too. This time around, though, I’m going to order front a yard that had pricing displayed more clearly.
the people at Berco treated my wife and like we were the biggest customers ever. We were only buying a few boards but the gave us a lot of time and suggestions. Great experience!!!!
I love these guys. They replace broken boards, and have even thrown in a few extra longer borads because they were out of my size. They charge by the foot, if you didn’t call ahead to see what they had on-site that is on you. There are 3 in Sacramento. Call first. Like I am going to in one minute.
Emailed them asking about having wood countertops made and they promptly responded with a recommendation!
