Avoid This Company – Poor Customer Service and Lawn Damage
My wife and I hired Elite Fence to install a backyard fence in the Waterset community, and the experience has been extremely disappointing.
On installation day, it was raining and our neighbor’s sprinklers were running. Instead of pausing the project, the crew continued working in the mud and standing water. They dug numerous holes, leaving concrete and water spread across the area. After several hours and significant damage to our yard, they informed us that they couldn’t finish and left our yard a complete mess, along with only half the fence installed.
During the installation, our internet suddenly went out. Since both my wife and I work from home, this was a major issue. We told the installers that we believed they damaged the fiber line. They insisted someone had surveyed the property in advance and marked all of the line, which was absolutely untrue. No one had ever come out and nothing had been marked. When our internet provider arrived, they confirmed the fiber line had been cut by the fence installation.
When we notified the company, the only response we received was a text saying, “Sorry about that” and they were rude overall. Considering we were dealing with yard damage, a half‑installed fence, and no internet for an entire day, this response was completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the following day we heard nothing from them. No updates, no apologies, and no attempt to fix the situation. We had to reach out to them to ask if anyone was even returning to complete the job. We were finally able to get in touch with the right person and get the crew back on site to finish the job after much stress and time on the phone.
Before leaving the crew did “what they could” to clean up the mess of mud and concrete left behind(as seen below). The first three photos were from the first day and the last three are a MONTH later. The extra holes dug and lack of caring have left our yard a mess.
To top it all off:
-The owner actually came out to our house to drop something off for them to finish the job and did not even check in and apologize.
-No reimbursement was offered. No one from the company reached out at all after the installers left.
-The installer had the gall to give us a card to leave a review for a free gift card. This is probably why they have so many good reviews.
Elite Fence did an outstanding job installing our vinyl fence in St. Pete. The fence looks great, and the entire crew was professional and efficient from start to finish. The foreman, Earnesto, communicated clearly, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure I was involved whenever decisions needed to be made. Overall, a smooth and high-quality experience. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer and would highly recommend Elite Fence to anyone looking for great workmanship and service.
I cannot recommend Elite Fence highly enough! From start to finish, my experience with them was truly exceptional. The fence installation was just one part of a larger project, and both Natasha and Kimberly were incredibly accommodating and flexible with our schedule — something we deeply appreciated.
When it came time for installation, Ernesto, Sait, and crew arrived on-site and exceeded all expectations. Throughout the process, they were professional, efficient, and truly hardworking. The quality of their work speaks for itself — the fence looks fantastic!

Elite Fence did a excellent job fixing our gate and fence. We are totally pleased with the work. Miguel was also did an excellent job doing the actual work. He was very friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable about what needed to done. He did a great job and we would recommend Elite Fence to anyone needing a Fence repaired or installing a new fence.
