   Houston Deck and Shade recently completed our new Trex deck and we are very happy with the results. From start to finish we had a smooth and stress-free experience. Jose and his crew, Cesar and Martin, were professional and did an excellent job which exceeded our expectations. Jim answered all of our questions with patience and care. We highly recommend Houston Deck and Shade.

   We just had our new deck done and added a roof over it. Everything turned out great! Manager Jose’ and Tyler and Martin worked so hard and did an amazing job. Building a deck and roof is very hard work and these guys were fantastic. After the deck was finished, JD came out to stain the deck and pillars. He did such a great job that we asked him to pressure wash, clean and stain our fence to match the deck. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and hard-working.
   Houston Deck and Stain is a great company that does high quality work. We love our new deck!

   We used Mateo and his crew for regrading, leveling, and new sod installation on our side yard, and they absolutely exceeded expectations! This was not an easy project, but they handled it flawlessly. Communication with Denise was clear, honest, and transparent from start to finish, and the scheduling was impressively fast.

   Mateo’s team worked incredibly hard and efficiently, and the results are stunning—our yard looks completely transformed. We’re already planning to hire them again for additional projects. If you’re looking for reliable, skilled, and professional landscaping work, this is the team you want!

   It is without hesitation that I would recommend Houston Deck and Shade for all deck projects, big or small. We had a deck on the back of our house that was approaching 20 years in age. It was made of wood, in poor condition, and had deteriorated with the passage of time. After several repairs and regular coats of deck stain, it was time for a replacement. We contacted Houston Deck and Shade, and they promptly came out and provided a competitive bid. Loren was professional, thorough, and respectful of our time as he spent a great deal of time understanding our needs and deck requirements. He then prepared a sketch and provided an estimated cost, which was reasonable and consistent with other project bids. The demolition started a few weeks later, and our new deck was completed another week later. We opted for the Trex decking material, and we’re pleased with that decision. It’s beautiful, sturdy, and looks much easier to maintain than your average wood deck. We also appreciate that both Houston Deck and Shade and Trex stand behind their product. This peace of mind is important.

   As for the construction of the deck, this is where Houston Deck and Shade excels and sets themselves apart from other decking contractors. Their personnel is top shelf. Paul, who was our primary project supervisor and who was present every day to coordinate and perform work, was the ultimate professional. He communicated throughout the construction process, was always on time with the crew, and was respectful of our property and schedule. Paul and his team worked efficiently, cleaned up every day, and demonstrated a commitment to the end product meeting or exceeding our expectations. Paul and Jose make a great team, and they seem to genuinely care about the work they’re performing. (Having hired many contractors for various projects over the years, this is unfortunately not always the case.)

   Attention to details is an important criteria for me, particularly when adding a large deck and making a significant investment for your property. Houston Deck and Shade understood this and made certain that their entire team did the same.
