   I’m updating my original review because Lumber Plus ended up working with my GC and me to restore and reseal the ceilings at a reasonable cost. The ceilings look even better than they did before since the team has expertise working with this wood. Thank you to Thiago and David for helping to make this right in a timely fashion.

   I purchased Thermowood for interior and exterior ceilings. The initial installation was beautiful.

   The Thermowood product descriptions indicate this wood is specially treated to withstand exterior use on walls and ceilings. My entire installation is on ceilings without direct exposure to weather.

   Three months later, the exterior ceilings are mildewed and discolored. We applied the sealer recommended and sold by Lumber Plus, but they claim the issues are because we only applied one coat. Note: the Thermowood product descriptions don’t even mention a need for sealer, but we applied anyway.

   I know I’m not the only one this happened to because Eduardo (Lumber Plus) manager mistook me for another client with virtually the same issue. He showed me photos thinking they were mine, then realized I was a different client with the same problem.

   The only thing Lumber Plus has offered is some free sealer and ability for me to pay their contractor, David, to try to sand and reseal them. However, it’s hard to get responses from David, not to mention schedule him for the repairs. At this point, who knows how deep the damage has penetrated which is distressing given the sizable investment I made for this wood.

He’s reliable, easy to communicate with, and genuinely cares about his clients. We got the beautiful wood slats to improve the spa interior, will be back for more projects.

   Great place to buy lumber, delivery is convenient and simple. Cesar was great for information during the sale. Beautiful pine used for soffit. Highly recommend!!!
