   Completely unprofessional and rude.

   Called him up about a week ago for a job we need done at a rental property we own, made an appointment with the guy to meet me at the house in question, only to have him call me late in the piece to say he couldn’t make it – never mind my own time driving over there to meet him. Then he asked me to simply send him over some photographs of the work needed so he could make an assessment and give me an estimate over the phone on the cost. Went over there, took the pictures and sent them to him, only to have the guy say that he couldn’t really tell after all what would be needed and that he’d have to try coming over again this week to take a look – so yet another appointment to have the guy come and make a visual inspection! My wife called him yesterday afternoon to confirm, as we’ve been starting to get dubious about this guy’s professionalism, and he’s like, “oh yeah yeah, the guy with the red door that needs fixing, right?” and he stated that he’d be at the house today. Well, you guessed it, I get a text from him this morning saying he can’t make it, and gee, well, he doesn’t think he can do the job for us after all having already told us that he set aside a day later this week to do the work.

   In a time-critical situation you can’t even believe how much this guy’s slack attitude has rebounded on us, as we’re trying to get the house prepped in time to show it to prospective renters before the end of the month. A week later and we’re back to square one trying to find a good carpenter to do the job.

   In short, avoid this guy, particularly if you’re expecting any kind of respect for your time and trouble as a client – never mind what the quality of his work is. If his attitude to his workmanship is as lackadaisical as his attitude to customers I wouldn’t want him anywhere near a place of ours.

   Just a stunningly thoughtless and unprofessional individual.
