We had a Pennsylvania bluestone patio installed a few years ago and it has exceeded every expectation. The craftsmanship was outstanding from day one. The stone work is tight, level, and still looks beautiful today.

What really stood out was their follow-up. They came back after the project to service and check everything, which you don’t see often. The patio has held up incredibly well through weather and daily use and still feels solid and well built.

Professional, responsive, and they truly stand behind their work. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality stone patio or deck done the right way.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely would not recommend this company for any deck. The communication from them is terrible, the work is shoddy and the wood splits and weeps sap almost immediately. The directly after pictures look great, but the reality is it won’t last. We had a 20 year old deck replaced and within a year the new deck this company installed looked worse than our 20 year old deck. They also lied about contacting the Woodlands to request the new deck be installed and I had to go through the process myself. I would absolutely not recommend them.

We hired The Deck & Patio Company to replace two old balcony decks with new composite decking. We knew that over the years there had been water intrusion and we had also recently exterminated a termite infestation, so the potential existed for this to be more than a simple deck replacement. There just wasn’t any way to know what might be necessary until the old decking was removed. Tom (sales representative) was transparent about how this might have significant impacts to the proposed timeline and pricing, which we appreciated. Although The Deck & Patio Co wasn’t the lowest price option (nor were they the highest), we liked Tom’s professionalism and felt that the proposal was thorough and credible. So we signed the contract and got in the queue of pending projects.

The time from signing to actual project start was a bit longer than estimated, mostly due to lots of rain impacting their progress on projects ahead of ours. They communicated with us throughout the waiting period, so we weren’t overly concerned or upset.

Once the project start date was imminent, we met at our home with Martin, who was the project manager. He was extremely thorough in reviewing how the work would proceed, how we would handle any project changes, and how to communicate with him. Once work began and old decking was removed, it became obvious that major structural elements needed to be torn out and replaced. As issues arose, Martin and Noe (the construction lead carpenter) communicated to both us and to each other about options to repair and/or replace structural elements. Martin stopped by on a nearly daily basis during these early stages. Although there was tremendous scope creep on the project, there was never any work done without first having a thorough discussion, followed quickly thereafter with emailed change order documents. We not only had a lot of additional required work, but also had a very rainy late spring and early summer; combined with the fact that this was a small crew (usually Noe and one or two assistants), the project took a long time to complete. Again, we weren’t upset because it was mostly weather related, and Martin always communicated if crews weren’t able to work. Noe is a very capable carpenter; we were very pleased with the quality of his work on both the framing and finish aspects of the project. He and his crew always displayed a positive and pleasant attitude, and they maintained a clean worksite on a daily basis. By project’s end we had completely rebuilt balconies: new support columns, new beams, new rafters, new floating composite decking, and new railings. And the TPO waterproofing crew really did a great job. Although we realize that the true test will be time, to date we have absolutely no evidence of any leaks.

Of course it would be remiss not to mention Wilson, who does all the caulking and painting. He displays the same pleasant attitude as everyone else and is extremely thorough and attentive to detail.

Despite becoming quite a bit more involved than we had hoped, we are very pleased with the outcome. We have beautiful, structurally solid balconies that we expect will last for MANY years.

Overall we are very satisfied with the way the whole deck project was handled from planning, design, installation, to finishing. The project required the removal of an old deck and installing the new one. However, our project has been completed for several months and we have yet to get a final review of the warranty coverage and process.

We needed a pretty labor-intensive pergola repair and upgrade, and from the minute I contacted them, everyone was so helpful and kind. Madison, who first came out to look at the job, was wonderful, and Martin, the construction coordinator, kept everything running smoothly. The communication throughout the entire process was fabulous. The work came out great, and the experience was truly stress-free.
    Highly recommend!
