Over the last few months, readers of the Basingstoke Gazette have been nominating and voting for their favourite venues.

The votes have officially been counted and we can reveal The Greenhouse Café cafe has won the Café of the Year 2025 title.

Known for its “delicious” menu, tranquil ambience, and dedicated staff, The Greenhouse Café, nestled within Sherfield-on-Loddon Garden Centre, is a favourite for both locals and visitors.

What sets the café apart is its team, whose commitment to delivering quality food and service ensures every guest feels welcome.

The Christmas Shop is now open, readying Basingstoke for the holiday season with a display of festive decorations and inspiration for home decor.

Dogs are welcome in the café and throughout the Garden Centre. There is a dog groomer and a hand car wash on-site, too.

Other finalists include Big Chef Cafe at Brighton Hill Parade, Cafe in the Park at Beggarwood Community Centre, Charlie’s Cafe at Roentgen Court, Kings Cafe at Kings Road South Ham, Little Roses Coffee Shop at Elm Park Garden Centre, PRET a Manger at Festival Place Shopping Centre, The Coffee Barn at Glebe Farm, and Willows Coffee House at Church Street.
