   Mesa county residents have signed this petition to implore you to revisit your canals safety concerns. As you are aware we have lost yet another child of 3 y.o. Named Adelisia ( Addie). We are aware and have been for years that this is a dangerous area across Grand Junction. As Addies mother takes on her responsibility to this tragic loss we ask that you acknowledge and take responsibility as well. We ask you to take measures to help prevent yet another fatality on your land. The creditable amount of lives lost in your canal over recent and past years is preventable. We understand that proper irrigation is a needed and vital tool to supply our respected farmers in the valley. They produce much needed commodities to the community, state and nation.We do not want to hinder nor hurt our local farmers, we simply want to ensure the safety of our children. We are imploring you to acknowledge the loss/losses and actively start a plan of correction.

   My irrigation ditch has been empty for over a week. Called in this morning at 0800 hrs, and I still have no water. I’m watching my yard die after buying and paying water shares.

   My house was flooding and the company refused to turn the water off. They also let the other people on my road keep turning the water up and continually flooded my house.
