What can I say about them… 5-STARS!
When I first contacted Custom Touch in July 2024, and they were the very first landscaper I contacted for this project, Evan reached out to me right away, and from the get go, we clicked very well on all cylinders! After presenting my idea and design and getting a quote, I still had to look for additional quotes elsewhere. During this process, I was not THAT happy with the design I presented to Evan. So I called Evan and told him that the design may be changing 180 degrees, may need his input on what we can redo and that I am also having a hard time getting anyone to give me a quote on my idea for the backyard because what I wanted is not something common in the valley. I wanted a Modern Zen Minimalist that is budget friendly and either these other landscapers don’t know the concept, only does Desert Landscaping, don’t want to use or get ideas from my design, or will only give me a quote if I have them do and pay upfront for a 3D design using their own ideas whether we use them or not. The worst experience I had was from a couple of landscapers where I said, “if the water feature is something you don’t do or will take it out of budget, come up with a different idea for a focal point.” And what I get in return is, “oh we don’t do water features so we can’t do business with you.”
The biggest challenge I had was having to come up with a flow while being able to incorporate the dog run along with the outdoor living area. After my redesign and getting my 3rd bid, I immediately contacted Evan to get his input on both the new design and if it will cost just as much as the others. To my surprise, he actually liked both the design and flow better without having to revise the plan, and he felt that they can get it done with a much lower bid. I talked to him about my original 2-tier waterfall where it incorporates a landing for the first waterfall and a “seating type” water run-off on the landing that connects to the second waterfall, along with a composite deck that is leveled with the height of the slab for the covered patio area. I also talked to him about materials to get that true feeling of a Modern-look by using concrete and tile-work. Unfortunately, the latter, along with the 2-tier Modern Waterfall design will put me way out of budget. Also, the possibility of having to permit the structure for the 2-tier waterfall design and flood code issues with the composite decking at slab height and connected with the house at the sliding door made me stick to my original budget plan.
Day one, both Sean (the owner) and Evan came to go over the project once more with me before handing everything over to Nicco and his crew. The whole experience I had with them, working on this project, was such an awesome feeling! My relationships with these guys felt like we have been friends for a very long time, and here we are just trying to accomplish one goal – get it done and done right! So now that everything is said and done, what is my overall experience and reaction? Wow, just… WOW!!! Evan, thank you for the great conversations we had and your follow ups on my questions and crazy ideas. Nicco and crew, thank you for all the efforts and braving out the cold January mornings to make my backyard dream come to life. And Sean, for your honesty and input in regards to the materials if it’s worth the cost or not – and most of all, having to accept this project that 90% of all landscapers I talked to didn’t want to deal with.
Team Custom Touch Landscape, as I said in the beginning, you guys are truly 5-STAR. The quality and final product far exceeds my expectations, and both my wife and I are very happy with the overall experience from start to finish! Next in line is the front yard and Team CT already knows when that timeline will be.
Workers were nice, hard working, but I sure do love digging up water bottles and trash out of the already rocky soil. I’d recommend taking days off and monitor the workers. I remember seeing the workers bury the trash as they were moving the soil with the backhoe.
And we’re not rude customers, we even filled a cooler with Gatorade/water since it was hot out, and sandwiches.
I can’t say enough great things about Custom Touch, Joe, Sean and the rest of their team. From start to finish the team and quality of work has been amazing! After a few weeks some of the trees planted were dying. Sean didn’t hesitate to have his team come out and replant new ones for us asap! It’s the little things that make a company great, like showing up when you say you will and upholding your word when said. I recommend Custom Touch if you’re looking to have great service, experience and quality work!
5 stars!! I’d give more if I could, honestly these guys are the best! I have a new build house and needed to fully landscape my backyard. I went through 4 other companies who were shady, expensive or ghosted, but I immediately knew when I met Evan that these were the business for me. Honest, fair pricing, he came over the same day to give me a quote and design and worked really hard to fit me in around my schedule. Nicco and his crew knocked out the project so quickly, and they were so polite and so communicative during the installation process. Sean was amazing and coordinated with my electrician to ensure everything was as it should be for my hot tub. Do not look any further if you need any landscaping, you are just wasting your time trying to price around. I love my new yard! These guys are the best in town! 5 stars!! Recently bought our new home and wanted a practical yet aesthetic backyard. Reached out to Custom Touch and they did not disappoint. Everything from design to work detail has been beyond my expectations.
Needless to say, I am very satisfied with how my yard turned out and will reach out to them for all landscaping jobs in the future.
