It’s my neighborhood store so I’ll always wind up there for this and that. But I don’t plan on buying flowers there this year. They arrive large in full bloom with 10,000 roots bound together. I want baby plants, mostly green, with a promising blossom or two and natural roots. Those I can plant and they will live and grow, not die in a couple of weeks. (Keep your receipts). The seeding nurseries need to wise up. Last year the plants were way overpriced. But bigger means they can charge more money, right? Not me. I’ve learned.
This writer ways enjoy my trips to Lowes shopping everything from tools, paint, (lots of paint, am so great full that there is now a brand that combats our sun! ) to plants, almost everything one needs for their home, garden etc. I have found the staff very willing to help and good advice, friendly and helpful here with the store normally in good order. The only exception is when stocking if one is handicapped then do be aware. However, this is definitely not the norm, thinking i picked an exceptional day but still be aware. Bathrooms here are even always clean!
Lowe’s is the furthest from my home, so going there is a special trip for me. Lowe’s has the usual assortment of plants that don’t grow well in our area. But most have learnt what to avoid by now.
One great feature is that Lowe’s regularly puts plants that are not at their prime on sale at half price. Other shops generally don’t put things in sale until the end of the season no matter how ship worn some of their plants may be. They also carry some things that can’t usually be found elsewhere.
It’s for these two reasons that I always make that special trip there a few times during the planting season.
Great customer service. Good selection of plants even tho I’m a little late putting in a garden. Plants are cared for . I’ve put in 10 new perennials and everything looks strong and healthy.
This is probably my favorite place to shop. We do a lot of home remodeling and projects. My husband is a veteran and we get 10% every purchase, every day. We just had to sign up for the Lowe’s card (not a credit card) It is handy because it keeps track of all your purchases as well. When we have to return something we don’t need to keep all the receipts its on the card!
