   Let me premise this review by saying first that I’m not one to offer glowing reviews just because a contractor did a good job. When you hire a contractor, they should do a good job, that’s what you’re hiring them to do, so high praise should be doled out cautiously. In my experience as a homeowner for over 30 years, the majority of contractors take the opportunity to cut corners and the work reflects that. I did complete landscape renovations at my LA home three times, so I know what goes into a new build or complete renovation from the ground up.

   To start, I negotiated with Precision’s owner, Art, for a couple weeks after securing four bids on the job. It’s fair to say that there was push-and-pull from both sides which should be expected by any business trying to land a decent project with a new client, to be honest. Ultimately we came to a fair price for everyone and went to work.

   Precision was courteous, had good communication and presented a clear contract detailing services to be performed and when installment payments were due as each phase was completed. Again, this is standard for good companies and those who don’t provide this level of professional service should be avoided.

   The yard was completely barren and needed to be landscaped to conform with strict HOA rules in a new development. Their design was submitted to the HOA for approval and accepted without any modifications whatsoever. Once work began, it was clear that Precision’s employees handle specific parts of the job, from hardscape installers to irrigation specialists to their design team. As they say, quality work is in the details, and you could see that the minute they started the project. Little things like how they meticulously cut pavers to fit perfectly, the banding around the patio, the sloping so the the drains could be placed in the border garden as opposed to in the middle of a small patio. Precision matched our gutter downspouts perfectly in color and style so the extensions into the drains look seamless as they connect underground. Other homes in the neighborhood have glaring white, rectangular downspout connectors attached to round, brown downspouts and they look terrible. Attention to details matters.

   Every homeowner should be keenly aware of how the prep work is done with pavers because shoddy prep work means those pavers will end up uneven and sagging in a year or two. Precision compacted, leveled and laid every stone to perfection. They implemented a nice design for the small border garden and installed a two-valve drip irrigation system in a location that is out of the way and will basically be unseen once the BBQ is installed. When a couple of the roses looked droopy and dropped leaves after the plant installation, Precision replaced them.

   Every day for the three-week project the crew showed up exactly on time. They took their breaks at the same time daily, worked hard all day, were courteous and friendly, and cleaned the site before leaving each day. We bought them pizzas and snacks several times to show our appreciation for their talent, work ethic and courtesy.

   I know this was a long review, but it’s important to share the details. To summarize, Precision was not the cheapest and not the most expensive. They were the right people for our job and we’re very happy we chose them.

   We had a wonderful experience with Precision Landscape. Art and his team were professional, courteous, and efficient throughout the entire process. We had a brand new backyard project that needed to be completed asap and they were very helpful satisfying all of our needs. From start to finish beginning with the design, selection of the materials, and then the work on the property Art and his crew simply made it easy for us. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs landscaping or maintenance done! They are fair, honest and the quality of their work shows!

   Precision landscape maintenance has been a dream to work with! We’ve had them maintaining our property for many years now and have always provided wonderful service. Our weekly landscapers are friendly and do a wonderful job. We’ve also hired them for some design and construction work as well, and have had a great experiences throughout. The owners are awesome and their staff is professional, helpful, and kind.    We have been working with Precision for the last year to do our landscape maintenance. We recently started a few big projects with them, and it has been amazing. Art is very honest and trustworthy. His crews have been nice, communicative, and efficient. I highly recommend them for any outdoor project you need done.

   We recently had a week long project completed in our backyard, which addressed continued excess irrigation issues from the attached preserve. Art identified a plan to help remediate, which included removing a significant amount of wet and smelly mud. Art’s employees worked diligently to wheelbarrow out mounds of earth for a new drainage system. In addition to their hard work, we were most impressed with how happy the employees were. They talked, laughed, and worked as a team. They always had a smile and welcome when we would see one another. Their demeanor demonstrated a sense of pride in their work and dedication to their employer. In order to complete the project, large potted plants had to be moved and then returned on top of large boulders added to the landscape. We attempted to go out to assist in where the plants were placed, and surprised that someone had taken pictures, and knew exactly how we wanted things to look. After removing debris, refreshing the artificial turf, watering, and completing any repairs, the yard looked outstanding. It’s a very responsive and hard working team of employees.
   In addition, I appreciate employees at the office, who are always pleasant and communicative. As a result, I would highly recommend Precision Landscape for any future projects.
