Smoot Landscaping deliver beautifully executed landscapes. Smoot completes their work on schedule and on budget. His designs surpassed all our expectations. Scott continues to check on our yard and advises on proper maintenance. Scott Smoot takes great pride in his work and cares about his clients. We have continued to use Smoot over the past five years to refresh our yard. We trust Scott’s advice and judgement. He is truly an artist.
Scott and his crew gave me the yard that I’ve wanted for years—from the river rock retaining wall to the new plants, they did a fantastic job. Scott worked with me to turn my ideas into reality. I get lots of compliments about the new yard and I’ll be enjoying it for years to come. The first two photos show the finished project; the third is how the yard looked before.
Not only does Scott and his team at Smoot Landscaping deliver beautifully executed landscapes, they do so on schedule and on budget. His designs surpassed all my expectations. What’s more, he continues to check on my yards and advises on their proper maintenance. Bottom line: Scott Smoot takes great pride in his work and cares about his clients.
We constantly get compliments on our front yard that Scott had total control of…he put it in when we were on vacation. A delight to come home to !
We wasted $2000 on a design that was not our vision or what we had hoped for in our backyard. We were convinced to spend $2000 on a final design with the assurance that they understood our vision. The design was delivered to us after all fees were issued. This design was not a representation of what we desired nor a representation of what we discussed. To make it worse were were reminded that there are no agreements in place.
Smooth talking cost us $2000 and we encourage that everyone keep a detailed account of your conversations and deliverables for financial transactions, and yes, don’t forget to have that agreement in place.
P.S. I should have paid more attention the 2.6 star rating on Google. Lesson learn’t.

Given the quality of the reply, I am certain the reply is from Mr Smoot himself.
Mr Smoot,
1. Your ratings have dropped from 2.6 percent to 2.3, keep up the great work!
2. Your work ethic and services are rated by several at 1 star, so no need for me to lie.
3. Your response is very classic, filled with mud slinging, and am not surprised.
4. If there was a “ZERO” rating I would have chosen that, so you have Google to thank to for getting a 1 star.
Reg, the property, it was never 1 acre, the budget was never $140K but always within $50K, and despite clarity you offered a $140K plan, and I restate “a plan we did not suggest, choose amd was deliberately imposed on us to go with” and when we could not – you started to insult us by saying “we cannot afford it”. Just a very cheap approach to earning business.
You are correct we did not cross our $50K budget, and I recollect you mentioning that our property was garbage. (Sic no designer should say that), irrespective guess what!? That garbage property sold at the highest ever on the block, and the buyers loved it! So your experience in understanding a property is very sub-standard.
Glad we could not afford your services, an investment with you would not have reaped us more than it did!
Lastly, but most importantly, in my initial review all I requested the reader was to document and keep records of their convos with you, what part of that scares you? And why is it a lie:)
Now come again and drop some nasty notes against my post, atleast you can be proud that you are the best in doing atleast that!
Mr Smoot, wake up, you are in a transparent era, and not in 1970’s, your trickery will not work on the present day consumer.
