Had hoped when the HOA went to Yellowstone that we would see improvement. Am woefully disappointed in lousy performance. Have to wonder that since I am finally seeing crews if their contract is up for renewal.

Yesterday, they had crews out early applying herbicide and pesticide — still not sure which ones in spite of several phone calls. I started walked the dog before sunrise and because he got ill, had to cut the walk short. He got ill because he was exposed to whatever they were spraying. Spent more than an hour with ASPCA Poison Control to the tune of $95. There were no warning signs, no lights, no email blast from the HOA, no verbal warnings from the application crew (actually saw several on their phones playing games). So the dog wound up walking through it when it was still wet. Called yesterday and forced to leave a message. Called back today and told that they never received the message. Got a bunch of excuses. Promised that she would talk to the crew, but unsure of what if anything will change. She didn’t even know they were out spraying yesterday. Said that it is colored so that people know to stay out. Hard to see the color when the sun isn’t up. Said that it dries in 20 minutes — all warnings say to keep animals out of it for 24 – 48 hours after application. The application was sloppy — over trash in the street, avoided all the trash and dog waste in the vicinity, applied on several cars parked on the street, applied in the vicinity of the school bus stops when the kids where gathering… In general looks like it was applied to cover up the fact that they have failed to maintain the property.

Say that they are not responsible for the irrigation system. Have it running for hours on end to cause puddles, brown spots and yellow grass, as well as mosquitos so thick I can’t be in my backyard at any time of the day.

At their recommendation, replaced the smaller gravel throughout the neighborhood with crusher fines. Supposedly for easier maintenance. May have made a difference if they actually did any maintenance. Trash and green waste is rarely picked up. They just work around the dog waste (which is now a significant problem) and trash. There was a weight for a barricade in the landscaped areas for more than 2 months before it got moved — I would guess by someone other than a Yellowstone employee. Looks like kitty litter making the neighborhood look run down and dirty. Doesn’t help that they are easily eroded and the animals like to dig in it. Makes the ants, dog waste and trash just that much more visible. Also eroded so much that there are now numerous dirt patches and clogged drainage. Also created a slip hazard on the walking paths.

Vegetation is so overgrown in many areas that the paths and sidewalks are difficult to navigate and would be impossible for someone disabled. When vegetation is cut down, it lies in the path or easements for days and weeks introducing hazards to the residents. Or alternatively, just let to sit in the trees. If the vegetation isn’t overgrown, there is a significant probability that it is dead. Volunteers are something awful. Many have sprouted in the midst of other plants.

Individuals operating the blowers, just wave them around as they walk. Nothing is ever moved or picked up. Seems like things are for show.

The grass in the park — not sure if it is grass or weeds. So many bare and brown spots. Today the mower went through and there is no check of what they are actually mowing. Their efforts to resod and reseed have failed on numerous occasions. There answer is to just water it more making things that much worse.

Our HOA hired this company y and it was a disaster. They gave a lot of excuses for why they were doing what they were hired to do. Our landscape was worse than ever. They left just grass all over didn’t address any weeds and their employees were MIA much of the time. Even saw a guy laying on the ground where he was supposed to be working.

Heads up Landscaping, now they are called Yellowstone Landscaping. They have been doing the property cleanup and maintaining of some property that is owned by the city of Rio Rancho, that a local property management company manages. They are not getting what they paid for, after they left for the day , I went out there and raked underneath the bushes. and this is what is left. they even use a blower to get all the leaves out but half the time , the guy that is going behind them just shoves the leaves back under the bushes, instead of picking them up. They have been here on several occasions for the last month and a half. They only do a half ass job at best.. Boy that is money well spent…. maybe not. 8/17/2022 follow up. Here is what Yellowstone left behind on this trip , they never clean under the bushes this is what they left behind. Boy aren’t you glad that the city waste our tax dollars on services that are not getting there monies worth.:9/5/25. Well yellowstone still has not improved in their service. Look at all the leaves and debris they left. I do not understand why the city is paying them for the crappy job. The tax payers pay for this. I would never hire or recommend them. Amazing they are still in business.

These guys are not very professional at all. Can’t even blow leaves in a professional manner. This is after spending an entire weekend cleaning and replacing the liner in the fountain. So yeah choose another company for your landscaping needs.

This company was hired by our homeowners association for landscape maintenance. There is no quality in their work, and the company charges a lot of money for the destruction that ensues. The only thing they do is use the loudest two stroke gasoline powered blowers and machines to blow all debris and topsoil from one place to another. The noise and fumes are hideous, and they blow the pine needles and other dry debris into the small gully behind our house which does not belong to us or the association, creating huge fire danger there where the ponderosa trees grow. They blow all topsoil away and hack at our plants until they look dead. The small areas of green grass are now just weeds and dirt. They do not pull any weeds near us, and they do not keep the sprinkler systems working at all. In winter they slam into the curbing on our driveway with their snowplows, breaking it and shoving it into landscaped areas. They use nasty chemicals, summer and winter. I cannot imagine why our HOA board has hired them. I have let the HOA know about the problems. It is miserable, and I dread seeing them anywhere in our state.
