Finally ordered gas burners to fit the Adobelite fireplaces that sat empty and unused for 10 years in our house. Got custom 18″ round teepee style burners for our 24 inch kivas. We wanted a smaller burner for the fireplace so we had plenty of room for the logs. We also ordered Aspen style logs that they got thru Arizona fireplaces. Jeff was great with handling the order and Keith did a great job building the burners.
I have had the fire place for 15 years and choose it for the esthetics when building my home. I inlaid the tiles and did the Finnish myself. I extended the right side bonco out 15 feet for seating and it has been great for parties. Many many compliments on the fire place. Mine is gas and wood and I am currently looking to Adobe-lite for a glass screen to replace my wire one so we do not draw cold air into the house when building big fires. My system has a 20′ slot at the front to let air in from a 4′ pipe that goes through the wall to the outside for an air source. With that air source I should be able to close, seal the front of the fire place with glass and have heat come out of the fireplace and not draw cold air in through doors or exhaust vents. Michael
Purchased the Navajo kiva from adobelite and loved it. The recommended contractor did an awesome job installing it. It’s working great and it’s beautiful.
My experience with Adobelite has been flat out awesome. While I had my initial designs, I had lots of questions and calculations to figure out. The team at Adobelite was friendly, not-pushy or sales-y in any way, and very helpful to figure out what was needed where. The fireplace pieces arrived in great condition, and are of superior quality. And the directions, for a do-it-yourselfer like me, have been very easy to follow. Best yet, when there was a significant mistake on my order (a last minute computer switch of my flatwall unit to a corner unit), that in theory I could have caught on the final invoice – instead of arguing, they immediately pulled a crew in to make my flat wall unit and put it on a truck to California in a matter of days. And at no charge. What great customer service. What a great product. Thank you!
I am very pleased with all aspects of the selection, sale, and service of our new ADOBELITE kiva. Jeff was so great in recommending an installer (who did a great job) and I was then provided information for a contractor who did the plaster and finish on the kiva (they too, did an awesome job).
