Integrated Outdoor Designs was really easy to work with. I had an existing deck that needed to be replaced so requested bids from multiple companies. Integrated’s bid was similar to others but what impressed me was their lack of pressure sales techniques (absolutely hate the “if you sign in days you will get price”).

Once the job started their teams worked very efficiently to clear the space, construct the deck, and stain the wood while working around other contractors I had brought in. The deck construction team, led by Juan, was really efficient and did an amazing job. They completed the job in a timely fashion and it looks great.

    We are very happy.

Photos are from after some rains so we have doggy dirt footprints… but easily cleaned.

It has been such a pleasure working with Integrated Outdoor Design! From the moment I spoke with sweet Felicia on the phone and discussed all of our projects with her, I knew we were in good hands. Kyle worked so patiently with us to make certain we were getting exactly the outdoor areas we envisioned and his suggestions were so helpful and appreciated! Mike and his crew did top notch work and were very respectful of our property while taking great care each step of the way to ask questions and take photos to help us visualize our projects. This was especially helpful since we couldn’t always be on site. He and Kyle were excellent communicators- always making sure we were on the same page. If we had questions, they responded quickly and came out to the house to discuss. We now have a beautiful outdoor grill area, gorgeous patios, and a pool equipment enclosure that couldn’t have turned out more perfect! Thank you so much Integrated Outdoor Design!

Integrated Outdoor Designs did an outstanding job of transforming our infrequently used patio into our favorite room in the house. Kyle was easy to work with on the design and he gave us good suggestions. The design involved a screened enclosure, the addition of an outdoor kitchen, and the replacement of the ceiling with cedar. Project managers Aaron and Mike, did a great job of coordinating all aspects of the project. They were responsive to any concerns I had. I receive compliments on my patio from everyone who sees it!

We went to the Spring 2025 San Antonio Home and Garden Show looking for ideas for decks and possible deck builders. That’s where we were introduced to Integrated Outdoor Designs. We met a number of deck builders that day, but Felicia from Integrated Outdoor Designs gave us a positive first impression and made us want to learn more about their company.

That day we made numerous appointments for consultations and estimates from several deck builders. Integrated Outdoor Designs was the first one on our schedule. After meeting with Kyle, their deck designer, we quickly knew this was the company we wanted to build our deck. Not only does Kyle have the creativity to design decks, but he is an architect with years of experience. The plans he designed for our deck were top-notch. We were impressed with the details and precision of his design. We contracted with him that day and canceled our appointments with other deck builders, and we have not regretted it.

Every step of the deck-building process was professional and efficiently executed. We planned a cedar deck because we had heard that composite decks get very hot in the sun and can burn pets’ feet. Kyle explained that the Timbertech decking they use is more heat resistant than some other decking brands, so we decided to go that route. Sure enough, I can walk barefoot on the deck when the San Antonio Summer Sun is hitting it, and the Timbertech decking is beautiful.

Throughout the building process, Mike, the Integrated Outdoor Designs Project Manager, was the utmost professional. He stayed on top of the entire building process, answered all our questions, and kept us in the loop regarding the status of our deck. He made the deck-building experience a pleasant one, and ensured we were satisfied with the finished project.

All the Integrated Outdoor Design team was great, including the guys who did the physical work of building the deck, to the staining company and electrician. The building crew was hard working, professional, and courteous. When we encountered a problem with some of the deck planks being the wrong color, they worked hard and surprised me by getting it resolved earlier than promised.

We had waited a long time to build this deck and we wanted it to be a comfortable, long-lasting addition to our home. Now we have a relaxing retreat right outside our back door. I’m sure Integrated Outdoor Designs is not the least expensive deck building company in San Antonio, but if I had it to do over again, I’d hire them again.

The process begins with a visit by Kyle who took the time to listen to our plan, survey and take measurements and then come up with a drawing based on a short discussion. He was sensitive to our budget and he quickly made adjustments to meet that budget.

I’m not going to go into the whole process from contract agreement to final hand-off but needless to say, every activity from HOA plan approval, scheduling, demolition, delivery/pickup of materials, construction, staining, and change order was clearly communicated to me and handled by either Aaron or Mike. It also helped that I was there to watch the progress and if questions arose, Juan was there to talk to me directly. I was always informed of what was coming next, when, and who would be my contact during those phases. Communication seems to be an important focus of their company.

I noticed that this company focuses on the details and quality of their work – I could tell immediately tell by how precise Kyle drew up the deck plan during the sales visit and then later during construction the details of the deck framing, by Juan and his crew, how quality focused this company is – I’ll never see the framing again but it was nice to know it was done really well! Finally, when the steps that were built were just not right, Mike took the time and effort, worked with Kyle to quickly re-design a replacement and get that re-built in a very short amount of time.

I want to thank Kyle, site managers Aaron, Mike, and builder Juan for all the hard work put into this project. I know it’s not the biggest project they’ve worked on but I’m very pleased with the results and would highly recommend their work to friends and for any future projects I have.
