The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Lebanon County are joining with the Chestnut Street Community Center and Penn State Health to offer “Seed to Supper,” a beginner’s gardening course that teaches how to build healthy soil, plan a growing space, choose crops, care for a growing garden, and harvest the bounty.

This six-week program is designed to introduce new gardeners to the joys and benefits of growing their own food, according to the release. The course will cover essential gardening topics, including soil preparation, planting techniques, and harvesting, with hands-on experience to help participants start their own gardens and enjoy fresh, homegrown produce.

The course also includes cooking demonstrations and tastings of vegetables that can be grown in the garden.
