Don’t do it! Don’t do it! This company is a joke. Prepared to be scammed. They’ll sign you up in the first couple times; they’ll do a good job, but after that the technicians either show up unexpectedly, don’t show up at all, and when they do, they’ll cut corners and do a sloppy job.
They’ll spend a whopping 5-10 mins in the yard. Totally not worth it. They will charge you an initial fee when you sign up, and then $50 each month after.
They only come out every other month. And even though they do a crappy job, they still charge the same amount. but the real scam is that if you call it to cancel, because of terrible service, they charge you a $200 termination fee.
Take my advice. Go to Home Depot and buy the stuff yourself and do it. It’s a total rip off. Total scam. Garbage lazy jobs. DO NOT get scammed. They cut corners and do terrible work. STAY Away from “Clark Pest Control.”
Customer service seems okay. Prices and work don’t align. Again, lacking communication and accountability. Techs lacking good work ethics.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I hired them to put outside rat traps. Expensive, but it had to be done.
After setting traps out the next day, I was told that they would check at the end of every other month if there was anything in the traps. But they would come out if I called.
That’s ridiculous- rats shouldn’t sit in a trap for two months. And I apparently have a lot of rats.
Sure enough, I found rats after the first night and called them to come out. They had a company picnic the next day, but were able to come on Saturday. Appointment window 8am-12 noon. I sat at home and waited all morning. By 12.15 they had not come and I called. I was told that the tech was at lunch and the new appointment window would be 1-5 pm. So they wanted me to sit and wait all day.
I can’t work with that lack of commitment, so I cancelled the service immediately.
I was told that I would receive a full refund immediately.
It is now TWO MONTHS later and I have called six times, each time I was told that my refund was in progress.
Today they told me again that they would refund the charge, but since it was so far past the initial charge (!!!!!) it had to be refunded by a check, not a credit to my credit card.
They are not truthful and disorganized.
If I don’t have my check by Monday I am taking them to court.
Everyone is so nice! I learn something new from each of them. Rarely does it turn out not accurate. Although I am waiting for the company to write me back about a billing discrepancy. But in the 25 years we’ve been with them, this is the first discrepancy that has happened. The most recent service to install new termite traps was just great! I appreciate how they all call ahead and are super respectful as well.
Clark Pest Control has been treated our house over the past 10 years, helping to keep aggressive ants and pest away from our yard and home. David Sims has been excellent, always courteous, professional and effective at listening and helping to solve any issues that pop up.
