I really love this place. I was treated with so much respect and the lady who I wish I got her name was so amazing. My mother has a bad hip and I came from Santa Fe to get fruit trees for her. The lady helped me tie them to my truck and was right there to help me right to the end. I can’t give more praises than, please give back and pay forward. Such wonderful people, thank you for all your help.
A great selection of native plants and edible plants including amazing selection of trees. They use local growers and suppliers when possible and grow many plants from seed in house. Their selection is amazing. The people are kind and the plants do really well.
Absolutely love this nursery! They carry a wide variety of native plant species both potted and in seed form which is perfect for anyone wanting to restore local habitat or create a more sustainable garden. The staff here are so knowledgeable and genuinely friendly; they’re always happy to answer questions or offer planting tips. I also really appreciate their selection of cool books on everything from farming and gardening to animals and birds it’s like a little hidden gem for nature lovers. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for quality plants and even better people! 🌱📚🪴
Plants of the Southwest is a Five Star business. It’s my absolute favorite greenhouse in Albuquerque. The people that run it our very, very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Today I bought a Cliffrose, which is a wonderful flowering shrub that is native to the Southwest, but very difficult to find. They carry only the best stock. On my next trip there I plan on picking up a Manzanita bush.
I bought seeds here that worked great and even gathered seed from the plants and was able to use those. I got some parsley from them recently because the Black Swallowtail caterpillars were eating my 2 plants bare. Now I have TONS of caterpillars. I plant the parsley for the butterflies so I’m very happy! Some of the parsleys were whitening when no got them but I put them in bigger pots and they are doing great!
Also, there staff has always been helpful to me!
