I decided to discontinue my Terminix services solely due to the multiple increases in the annual fees, which rose from $118 in 2022 to $151.51 in 2025. Since I was enrolled in auto-pay, I only became aware of these increases through bank statements or electronic invoices, which I occasionally review. I do not recall receiving any direct communication informing me about these changes.
While I have always valued the quality of service provided, the financial impact combined with the lack of clear notification played a significant role in my decision.
I want to stress that this decision in no way reflects on the professionalism or quality of the Terminix team, but is strictly related to the pricing adjustments. I remain appreciative of the excellent service I have received throughout our relationship.
If you’re considering hiring this company to solve a problem in your home, please read my review before you decide.
I am extremely disappointed with Terminix. Their customer service system is unbelievably inefficient and disorganized. I’ve wasted several days and still haven’t been able to get a single confirmed appointment — it’s absurd.
I’m a tenant under FirstKey Homes. After finding mice in my house, FirstKey created a work order with Terminix on October 15. That same day, since no one ever contacted me to schedule a visit, I tried to reach Terminix by phone and online chat — but every time, their system “couldn’t locate my account.” So later that afternoon I personally went to the Terminix Orlando office to make an appointment in person.
The staff member there was polite and wrote down my phone number and address by hand. He confirmed an appointment for October 16 between 1 PM and 4 PM, promising that someone would call before arriving.
The next day (October 16), no one called and no one showed up. At 3 PM that afternoon I drove back to the same office — this time it was completely empty. The door was locked, no one was there, only a phone number taped to the glass. I called it, but no one answered, and I left a detailed voicemail explaining my situation. Nobody ever called back.
By the way, Terminix — your Google Maps location pin was wrong. I actually fixed it for you. You’re welcome.
Though honestly, you probably don’t care. The office doesn’t seem to have anyone there most of the time anyway.
On October 18, I tried their online chat again. This time the representative finally located my appointment — and admitted it had been scheduled for October 16 but “was never completed.” When I asked why no one could find it before, the agent replied:
“I apologize for the inconvenience. It’s possible you were speaking with the incorrect department, as we are currently undergoing system migrations which can sometimes make it difficult to locate accounts.”
Are you kidding me? There are only three departments, and I contacted all of them — multiple times. Each one just bounced me around like a ping-pong ball, and now they’re saying I called the wrong place? That’s beyond ridiculous.
By then, nearly four days had passed since FirstKey opened the work order, and Terminix still couldn’t send anyone or even confirm a reschedule. I had no choice but to buy eight glue boards myself. That same night, I caught a large roof rat — and it wasn’t even fully grown yet.
For a national company to operate with this level of incompetence and zero accountability is unacceptable. Their departments clearly don’t communicate with each other — not the phone reps, not the chat team, and not even the local office.
If your property manager assigns Terminix, demand a different vendor immediately. Otherwise, you might spend an entire week chasing ghosts while your pest problem gets worse.
We have had terminix for two weeks. The inspector made the contract in my husband’s name but then sent us an updated contracted in my with my signature. The amount on the contract was not what we were quoted and the inspector has not reached out to rectify
the discrepancies. Even though we have tried to reach out to him. Our first visit the techs set one trap to cover a nearly 3000 square foot home. The second visit they went to a house unaffiliated with the account. The third visit was from 1 to 5 and the tech showed up at 6. When calling the customer rep I was put on hold , no resolution to issues and sent to survey to say if they were helpful company and hung up on. I believe unless something changes we made the wrong decision going with this company.
Well responded to their email. No reply for 24 hrs. The inspector (Joel) that sold the plan told us to contact the company in charge of the credit. After he never answered his phone and finally replied to multiple attempts at texting. How does that resolve the issue that he either lied, has a contract in one name signed by another and NO ONE seems interested on contacting us and having a conversation. Please be aware this branch has major issues all should be very wary to utilize them.
Terminix is THE pest control company with 15 years of exceptional service. Very honest, professional and trustworthy company. Technicians Alex and Ramon are the gentleman I request each service call because they are the best!
ERIC NEWBERRY was an amazing Technician that took his time to explain to us what would be best for our situation. I have had other technicians that have came to our house and did not care to ask us anything and just wanted to start spraying. So I really appreciate it when a employee takes there job seriously. From now on we have request him as our technician because he made us feel at ease. Thank you again ERIC for all you do.
