A-tex is a wonderful company, And the best company to buy a hot tub from. From the beginning I started working with Roy in the sales office and he was incredibly helpful answering all of my questions. I am a new hot tub owner know nothing about hot tubs and he gave me a lot of assurance and was patient to answer all my questions. At no point did I feel rushed or pushed to commit to anything but I was very excited about getting a hot tub and I was ready to commit to the purchase. I think a tex has good inventory and I ended up with a vita sensation hot tub that is pretty large and I think I got a good price on it. I even asked the hot tub subreddit and got confirmation of that! At various points in the process I was able to pick up the phone and get additional questions answered by Roy right away. He was always available for me for that purpose.

In terms of installation I have a sloped backyard that made my hot tub job a bit more complex than a standard one where you might have a deck already built or at least a flat backyard and a simple gravel base would be sufficient. Because I have a sloped backyard we had to come up with something a little bit more complex. I worked with Wolff, who is the contractor who does most of the decking and electrical work for A-Tex in their hot tub installations. Wolf is fantastic to work with. He is very available for questions, very patient and he works with you on a design that will meet your budget. What I loved about working with him was that it felt like he really cared about the end result and giving me a deck that I would really love but still working within my budget. I never felt like he was just trying to get the work done and leave, he made it seem like he was building a deck for his own backyard. His workers were fantastic as well, extremely respectful, reliable, and they do great quality work for him. Wolf and his team also helped me with my umbrella installation and even went as far as having his team help staged the umbrella on three different corners of the hot tub opening and closing it just to see what it would look like and which corner looks the best from an aesthetic point of view. This was an extra step that they didn’t have to do towards the end of their day and I highly appreciated the effort that went into that especially because it’s not easy to balance a hot tub umbrella on the edge of a deck before it is screwed in, it does take three men to help support the process. This is just one example of the way that wolf and his team are really committed to giving you the aesthetic and result that you’re looking for as well as thinking through all the parts that you don’t think through like the mechanics of the deck and making sure that it is built in a way that is functional and allows for repairs to your hot tub and or even things like your sprinklers and your lawn care maintenance. He really helped me come up with an idea that maximized all of these things, aesthetics, functionality, usability, repairability, and overall optimal enjoyment. He was also extremely helpful with and open to exploring design ideas that I had and we ended up with a deck that is beyond what I ever expected and I think is incredibly beautiful even though it has a fairly small footprint as decks go.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with A Tex for the tub and wolf for the deck. I highly recommend this duo of companies. They work really well together and communicate together, which helps on the client side as well. Everything ran smoothly from top to bottom, and even though there was a little bit of a delay due to the weather and cold snap here in Texas I was happy to accommodate that because the end result was so great. They also cleaned up after themselves and never made any issues with the footprint and so I have no complaints at all.

A fantastic company, Roy-salesman, and Wolf-delivery guy. I highly recommend if interested in swimspas!
As I haven’t moved to my retirement property full-time, I decided to build a barn and place the swimspa inside. This provides security and will allow me to swim during rain and cold temps. I have beautiful sunset views.

We bought the Caldera Seychelles salt water tub last November, during a great sale. Our salesman Roy is great. He’s been there forever and knows his stuff! With a Caldera, you have to have 2 separate breakers, and my old tub had only one. So a little more $ for installation. Robbie the electrician was great too. He showed me what was wrong with one of my outdoor outlets and fixed it for free. It’s a great tub with very powerful jets. We love it and got a great deal. This is a very friendly, honest, reputable dealer that has been in business for many years, which is what you want. The salt water option is great. Low maintenance and easy restart after summer months. Softer, less dry skin in our opinion.

05-08-25 update – service had to come out and fix more broken light lens. If you ever get a hot tub, don’t get them with lights. They constantly break and short out.

02-28-24 update – service had to come out and cut holes in my new hot tub to replace 4 broken light lens and replace 1 broken light and fix the tub from leaking. The Dimensions One Spas are crap and A-Tex knows this but they keep on selling them and never tell the consumer of all the defects with it. Imagine spending over $10,000 on something and then they have to come out and cut it apart time and time again to keep fixing the same problems!

11-01-23 update – service came out to replace a warped panel that was on back order for several months. Once again, the service department is the only people you can count on in this company.

09-18-23 update – just found out the 3 year warranty on my spa is bullshit. Everything is out of warranty in one year except the motor. They never told me that. What a scam!

Also found out a majority of the reviews on here are for small items bought in the store. They will give you a discount on your items if you give them a review. So they are buying these reviews.

06-27- 22 – Bought a new spa from A-Tex Hot Tubs & Pools North Austin. Thought since they have been around for so long i would have no problems from them.

Well, think again. They delivered the spa broken.

Service had to come out at least 3 to 6 times to fix the same problem, which was the lights were allowing water to leak into the spa and then shorting out. Each time they came out to fix the lights, they tore out my foam insulation. One time they left a screwdriver in my spa, which rusted the tub bottom.

Then when they couldn’t fix the spa, they gave me a huge run around about replacing the spa. Told me we had to exhaust all the avenues through their service center before they could put a claim in to Dimension One Spas.

All this took 6 months before a new spa was delivered. Delivered new spa and had no chemicals to set the spa up. Told me to drive to the north austin location and get them myself.

Also told me they would provide me a “sorry you’re having problems with your spa” package. Never got it. They just don’t care about you at all. Once they have your money, out of sight out of mind.

Don’t waste your time with this company. The only good thing about them is the service department, and they don’t even own the service department. The service department was always ready to help. A-Tex was always ready to not help.

I’ve attached pics of what they did to my spa and told me this is normal. And since the new spa has arrived, A-Tex has not once called me to see if everything is alright with the new one.

    Buyer Beware

I purchased a Dimension One spa from this location after being assured by the salesperson that it met my top priorities: reliability, strong customer service, and low maintenance. I made it very clear during the sales process that these were non-negotiable for me. In fact, I was already prepared to purchase a Bullfrog spa from another dealer but decided to stop here before making my final decision. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!

Unfortunately, I now know the salesperson misrepresented key facts in order to close the sale. After working with the service department six times over the past year, it has become clear that Dimension One has severe reliability issues (and has for a long time) and is no longer a viable brand. I’ve since learned the company is bankrupt and widely regarded as one of the worst options in the industry for the very criteria I emphasized during my purchase, and was known by the salesman.

I have owned this spa for over a year, and for the last six months it has not functioned properly at all. This is not a reflection of the service department, who have been professional and responsive. The issue is that I was sold a defunct product by a salesperson who knew the true condition of the brand.

I regret trusting the information I was given and feel misled or defrauded into purchasing a product that does not align with what was promised. I strongly encourage potential buyers to do extensive research and proceed with caution before purchasing from this location.
