Hire at Your Own Risk
I used this company for about 8 months to service the pool at my rental property, and the experience was overwhelmingly negative. From the start, tenants frequently complained about how rude and unprofessional Chris was. He was unreliable, often skipping scheduled weeks or showing up at random, unannounced times.
The situation worsened when I hired him to replace the filtration system—a job he estimated would take three days. He charged my card and then disappeared for several days, completely unresponsive. In reality, the job dragged on for over a month. During that time, he left the pool empty and ultimately flooded the yard by leaving the water running and simply walking away.
Despite all this, he had the audacity to charge me for regular pool cleaning services during that month—when the pool was unusable—and even the month after, after I had clearly informed him that I no longer needed his services. I have not been reimbursed for either charge.
He claimed to have mailed a refund check for ONE MONTH OF CLEANING SERVICE ( he refused to refund the second one) over a month ago and refuses to provide a tracking number. At this point, I consider this theft, and I’m now considering legal action just to recover my money.
Please be cautious. In my experience, this was nothing short of a scam.
Allen showed up on time, no bs, straight to the point, educated me, set expeditions and scheduled for weekly maintenance. I called 4 companies and none of them showed up, they are unreliable but Allen is reliable. If you need swimming pool cleaning service in San Antonio, call Allen’s Pool Service. The contractor that installed the pool poorly screwed me over and Allen educated me on many things
I agree with others on here about not getting a credit back. He charges less than others but poor quality of work. The men he uses don’t put an effort in their work. I caught them lying that they serviced my pool. Once I said something he said oh we were going to go back the next day. I bought a new Polaris bag for my machine and within 4 months it had ripped apart. My old one lasted me a year at least. He said they are making them from china etc. It was probably an old bag he had in his truck! He also agreed with a winter schedule and would charge less and that never happened. When I ask to reverse it he said he would credit my account and he NEVER did. I had to call my credit card company and file a dispute. STAY AWAY!
Used this company for a year, during the year there were several repairs needed especially after the freeze. Contacting and scheduling appointments is very frustrating as Dave doesn’t have a calendar so he often forgets things, is scattered. Once your repair person comes you will not get an estimate just a bill that will surprise you. He subcontracts the service so I don’t recommend using this company for maintenance or service. He is shady and dishonest. Multiple issues to list during the year involving overcharging. There are many better companies in SA, I would use Fiesta or another company instead.
Barely spent 10 minutes cleaning the pool each week, only got the big stuff out. Complained that “I” was not vaccuming the pool enough (I was doing it every other day). Didn’t test the water just threw 3 or 4 chlorine tabs in my skimmer and left. He did one repair for me, quoted me a price then charged my credit card 3x that amount without so much as a word. When I confronted him, he told me “Only rich people have pools” and began laughing. STAY AWAY! Far far away!
