Exceptionally Helpful! I went in looking for assistance with a pool leak that I have had for years. Previous places offered me detection and repair services that they predicted would go over $10,000. The guy at Discount Pools in Escondido listened to my problem, explained the likely cause (leaky skimmer seal), explained how to repair it, and sent me home with a $15 tube of sealant.
10 minutes of work and the leak was entirely resolved. What could have been a costly repair was averted by a knowledgeable and caring technician who took the time to assist me rather than looking for a commission.
I highly recommend this store for any pool need.
Needed a mechanical seal replaced, parts cost $20, technician(who was very good and efficient and new what he was doing) was there for 1 hour. I was charged $320. That’s $300 an hour. Quite exorbitant wouldn’t you say? This service in most cases is $75-$150 an hour. Wont be using these guys anymore.
DPS changed my pump and backwash valve. After completing an inquiry on their web site, DPS quickly got back to me to schedule an appointment to check what was wrong with my pump and provide suggestions. Chris, the technician, was on time, super friendly and explained that I needed a new pump. Four days later I received a quote for the pump replacement and replumbing which was fairly priced. After accepting the quote, I made an appointment for the following week for the installation. Chris came back, was on time and did the installation which took only 90 min. I really liked dealing with DPS has they were very responsive, had excellent communication, were available without much delays, were on time, did a quality job and their prices were reasonable. DPS is now my new pool service shop!
We have used Discount Pool Supply many times for our pool and spa. Gavin, who handled all repairs, is wonderful. Very knowledgeable; always on time; a pleasure to work with. Highly competent and responsive firm and highly recommended.
Discount Pool did a great job for me. We couldn’t figure out what was wrong with our spa controls, and even our home warranty couldn’t fix it. Everyone at Discount Pool was very knowledgeable and was able to fix my issues with one visit.
