If anyone is looking for excellent pool service please contact GL Pools. They are so knowledgeable about salt pool service and they do a wonderful job at keeping my pool clean. I love to come home on Thursdays and find my pool spotless! In the numerous years I have been with GL pools I have had two wonderful Techs. Jeff was my first tech and he was awesome! I was so bummed when I learned they would be changing my tech. Don is now my current tech and he is awesome too! Don truly goes above and beyond. I get reports emailed to me after the service is completed with pictures so I know what time they went and what was done. No more guessing like my last pool people. GL Pools is a great company to work with.
GL Pools is absolutely fantastic!! They have been our pool service company for several years now and they are so professional, committed, kind, and helpful. Their entire staff is wonderful and they keep our pool looking brand new. Their communication is excellent and multiple times we’ve had a unique issue come up and they always go out of their way to help fix things as quickly and efficiently as possible. They are so honest and ethical which is honestly so hard to find these days. You can tell they truly care and are committed to doing business the right way. Thanks for everything GL Pools!!!
GL Pools has been the most neglectful and misleading service provider I’ve ever hired. We contracted them in November 2023 to maintain the pool, spa, rill, and fountain at our Carmel Valley home because we are on-site only every few months and needed a company we could trust. After a decent first year, their service deteriorated sharply—high staff turnover, irregular visits, and growing signs that no one was paying attention.
The most serious issue: months of obvious calcium buildup across the pool, spa, and rill. Their own weekly service photos from June through October 2025 show clear white calcium rings and deposits, yet technicians repeatedly marked everything as “brushed” and “normal.” When we asked about cloudy water and visible scale in October, management dismissed it and insisted “everything looks good.” They never escalated the problem, never recommended treatment, and never acknowledged the deterioration—even though it was visible in their own pictures.
When we returned in late November, the pool was in terrible condition: spa surfaces coated in calcium, the rill heavily scaled, and debris obviously untouched. This was not sudden—it was months of neglect, ignored visit after visit while we were being charged premium rates.
Equally troubling is the owners’ detachment. In two years, no owner or senior manager ever visited the property, even after concerns were raised. They rely on a revolving door of technicians and templated checklists that contradict their own photos. Meanwhile, their billing system is the only part of the business that operates reliably—automated reminders, early invoices, and repeated payment notices sent with more consistency than the maintenance itself.
In our experience, GL Pools markets itself well but delivers unreliable, careless service, poor oversight, and evasive communication. Their neglect caused significant damage and forced costly remediation. Based on the systemic failures and lack of accountability we experienced, I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

They were responsive when I sent emails and responded quickly addressing any questions I had. They also gave me good referrals when my issue was beyond their scope. Every technician that came to my house was kind, respectful and knowledgeable ! I only had to let them go because we sold the house and our new house did not have a pool. GL Pools is the best!.
I had a pebble tech wash done on my pool entry. It was very calcified. Gage from GL pools spent about 3 hrs removing this stain. It looks almost brand new! There was also another annoying problem we had with the flow meter. He fixed that too.
I’m very thankful that I can trust GL Pools and especially Gage to fix the problems that come with our pool.
