Sunset completed our pool back in April, and now that we’ve been enjoying it all summer, we can truly say we’re very happy with how it turned out! The construction process had a few bumps along the way, but Frank was great about stepping in, advocating for us as clients, and making sure everything was handled and finished the right way. We worked closely with Taylor early on in the design, and she did a wonderful job bringing our vision to life. In the end, Sunset Pools delivered exactly what we had hoped for; a beautiful design we’re proud of and are truly enjoying every day.
The idea of constructing a pool is daunting. Designing? Even more so. Sunset transformed the entire experience into something exciting and surprisingly seamless. Our project involved converting a large covered patio and a quarter-acre yard into a beautifully designed outdoor space featuring a generously sized pool with spa, ledges, water feature, and cabo shelf, multiple entertaining areas, kitchen cabana, a fire pit, and timeless material selections while maintaining an organic aesthetic and ensuring the view from within the home was complemented and enhanced.
From the initial design concepts to the many thoughtful revisions, the Sunset team worked closely with us to ensure every functional need was met and wishlist items were included, all while helping us identify opportunities to manage costs without compromising design.
Our project developer’s (Kevin) guidance balanced practicality with elegance, creating a space that feels elevated, yet intimate and inviting. The turf areas help merge the natural outdoor vibe with the modern design and material selections for the deck, coping, and fire pit. Integrating the new space with the existing home, and ensuring ways to keep maintenance reasonable was a priority and he nailed it.
One of the most impressive aspects of the process was the flexibility and ease of making minor adjustments as the project evolved. Every revision was handled efficiently, with professionalism and attention to detail. Communication was open and consistent, allowing us to feel informed and confident throughout every stage.
At the heart of any construction project lies the project manager. Sunset’s project management team set the bar high. For those who require consistent communication channels and attention to detail, our project manager (Ricky) was exceptionally professional, experienced, patient, and detail-oriented, ensuring each phase was completed with precision, and communicating with us along the way: who to expect, duration of work, and when he would personally be there. Ricky’s knowledge, proactive communication, commitment to the quality of the project and the needs of the clients made the experience an enjoyable and educational one.
We are beyond pleased with our new space, and grateful for the designer’s vision, the scheduling team’s communication, the craftsmanship of all contractors involved, and the project manger’s implementation and execution to fulfill the quality demands of Sunset Pools and the expectation of his clients.
Our backyard has been transformed into a stunning and functional retreat that we can’t wait to share with our family and friends!
We just finished a pool build with sunset and they have been incredibly easy to work with. The design studio/process was great and we were to see how it would look in our space along with all the various color choices. We then had Kevin and Frank helping us along the way. Frank especially was super responsive and great keeping us informed of inspections and any issues that came up. And lastly, Jake who set up our machinery and gave us the basics in pool school was a wealth of useful knowledge. We really enjoyed our experience with sunset and I would not hesitate in using them again.
We had multiple companies present plans and ideas for our pool renovation, but Sunset Pools stood out for many reasons. A true interest in the project, open to our ideas, and a strong construction focus with an online scheduling app that provides daily progress and planning details. We enjoyed working with the team, and it was a tough go with all the bad weather through the process. Our family is very pleased with the final outcome and we look forward to enjoying our newly renovated pool.

A huge shout out to Frank, our construction manager, was was an absolute rockstar throughout the project. He was communicative, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Frank kept us updated at every stage, and answered all of our (many) question, and made sure every detail was done right. His dedication and pride in his work really showed, and it made all the difference.
