Artscape Gardens was excellent from start to finish. Ben and his team handled a fairly involved front, side, and backyard renovation for us in Cypress, and the entire process felt organized, transparent, and well thought out.
We had the existing lawn removed and replaced with artificial turf in both the front and backyard, new plantings throughout, upgraded irrigation, a relocated water feature, citrus trees, and custom vegetable beds. There were also demolition items and a few changes along the way, and Ben was always clear about options, costs, and timing. Communication was consistent, and we never felt in the dark. The crew was professional, respectful of our property, and detail-oriented, especially with grading, drainage, and the finished look of the turf and planting areas.
The end result looks great and functions exactly how we hoped. We’re very happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Artscape Gardens to anyone looking for quality landscape work.
When we bought our home, the backyard was basically an unusable slope of dirt and weeds. We had no idea how to make it functional, but we knew we wanted a flat grassy area for our dogs, space for fruit trees, and the option to add planter boxes down the line. After talking to a few companies, we hired Artscape Gardens and they absolutely knocked it out of the park.
They completely transformed the space by leveling a huge portion of the slope to create a lush grass yard, installed a concrete slab for a future sauna or studio shed, and filled the rest of the yard with beautiful drought-tolerant plants and fruit trees. It somehow feels twice as big as before and finally feels like part of our home instead of wasted land.
Beyond the results, what really impressed us was their professionalism throughout the process. The crew was always punctual, super easy to communicate with, and took the time to explain each step and why they were approaching it a certain way. You can tell they truly care about both the design and the longevity of the work they do.
We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and recommend Artscape Gardens to anyone looking to reimagine their outdoor space!
We are thrilled with the outcome of our backyard garden project with Ben and Oscar at Artscape Gardens. Both were highly communicative and flexible, always offering alternatives within our budget that would allow for the beauty of the garden to shine through.

Really happy with Artscape’s work transforming our front and backyard and parkway. I spoke to three contractors for consultations and quotes, and Ben and Oscar stood well above the rest. Ben was really communicative, listened to our goals and provided helpful input on design and plant suggestions, kept us updated with schedules and timing, and incorporated our ideas seamlessly into his plan.
Oscar and his crew installing were very knowledgeable, did an incredible amount of work in 3 days, and were very respectful of the site and left it spotless. Communication after the job is over has been great as well – I had a water leak unrelated to the landscaping job that Ben came out to trouble shoot on a Sunday at no charge. This is a great and very professional crew to work, and I highly recommend.
First and foremost, Ben, Chapo, and the crew are truly good people. Any review for contractors, in my experience over the past decade, could stop right there…but I’ll keep going ha. The work they did for us (pavers and pergola, as well as some rocks, cement steps, and cleanup) was impeccable. They truly care about what they do, how it looks, it’s longevity, etc. We made many changes mid-project, and the communication was incredibly thorough, considerate, and flowed flawlessly. We’ve had awful experiences with contractors more often than I’d like to admit, so we feel very lucky and grateful to have found these guys, and will use them with any outdoor work we have in the future! HIGHLY recommend.
