I called on Monday for pine straw delivery & install. They arrived on Tuesday afternoon. Super courteous person / manager with the crew. They were quick. Did a great job & cleaned everything up when they were done. Good competitive price. Highly recommend.
Pine Straw Direct delivered and installed pine straw this week. They arrived a day ahead of schedule. They communicated every step of the way regarding their estimate based on photos I sent them, and then again in person once they arrived and surveyed the job and then again once they laid out the pine straw bundles. Their count aligned and the pricing was both clear and fair. I was very pleased with the outcome. The installers were knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Once done, they cleaned up the area very well. The quality of the pine straw and their workmanship was excellent, and the job was beautiful. I would definitely use this business again.
One year ago we had PINESTRAW Direct deliver and spread 100 bales of long leaf needles. The result looked fabulous. Straw was spread evenly and the edges rolled perfectly.
We scheduled them to repeat the process a few days ago (a year later). When they finished spreading the 112 bales, the supervisor didn’t come to the door and ask us to check out the job. The crew just left. Upon walking the yard with my wife, we were disappointed at the results compared to last year. There are quite a few thin spots. Many edges were not rolled as they were last year. Some of the pine straw appears to be old and brown vs the nice rust color of new straw.
The assistant manager called later to get my credit card information. I expressed my concerns to him asking if this was a new crew. He matter of facts said he’d pass my comments on to his manager. I feel they fell short of expectations this year given this was $1000 investment.
Their outstanding customer service and high-quality pine straw certainly make them stand out. From timely responses to top-notch product, it’s clear they prioritize customer satisfaction. Would highly recommend for homeowners and landscape businesses.
Be sure you are dealing with the owner. I ordered 150 bales and was told they would be delivered at the beginning of the following week, so I planned to use the weekend to get the beds ready. Instead the straw was delivered early. No one ever bothered to call; I went out for the morning and came back to find it done. When I called the business the owner told me his installer said no one was home, which was a lie – there is no other word for it. My son was at home all morning and his car never left the driveway. They do a good job on the installation, and the owner is responsive to calls, but not everyone who answers the phone there is as concerned with customer service as he is. I have now spent a significant amount of money (for me, anyway) on mulch that is full of weeds after just a few days because it was more convenient for someone there to show up without calling. I’m really disappointed. So use them, especially if you want to support a local business, but be careful.
