Overall and fantastic experience. A few things to note. This is my 2nd time working with a turf company here in Austin and Waterloo went above and beyond.
Gage was my sales rep and he was timely, professional, flexible and MOST importantly, he was there when needed. It’s not uncommon that something pops up during an install. Sure enough, it did with us. With some reps, once the deal is signed, they’ve moved on. Not Gage and Waterloo. We talked about the situation and he immediately offered a few logical solutions that allowed us to settle on the right path forward.
The crews also did a great job with the install itself and it looks fantastic. We knew we’d have a bit of a coloring issue when trying to match between a separate section we’d had done ~8 years ago that has faded quite a bit but it doesn’t bother us.

I worked with Bobby at Waterloo and he was fantastic from start to finish. He came out within two days to give me a quote, came in under budget (I received four quotes), and had the installation scheduled and completed in less than two weeks. I even changed the design the day of and he was super flexible about it.
The install itself took under 48 hours. The first day they laid the foundation (DG, limestone screenings, and edging), and the second day they rolled out and secured the turf. Bobby was super helpful responsive the whole time, and the turf looks incredible. I debated getting turf given I have relatively new sod with an irrigation system, and I’m glad I did — I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
This is my fourth home renovation project, and Bobby and team were by far the most professional and easiest to work with. Everything was delivered as promised, and they even went above and beyond — moving old rocks along my edging at no extra charge. White glove through and through and the pups love it. I can’t recommend them enough
Waterloo Turf did an amazing job on my yard, efficient, professional, and the results are outstanding. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I was tired of maintaining a natural lawn in Austin’s irregular rain and intense heat, but this turf keeps its perfect look year-round. Their warranty gives extra peace of mind too. Highly recommend these guys!
Shoutout to Gage, Lance, and the guys at Waterloo Turf for an amazing install of this putting green at my Airbnb in Austin. It’s very professionally done, from the perfectly slopped level for a nice roll, to the masonry work around the edge for a structured frame.
It was fun to be part of the install experience too, selecting where the holes go and adding obstacle rocks to cover utility boxes and make the game more fun!
These guys are rockstars and would recommend them for sure.
We recently had Waterloo Turf install UltraPlay turf and a new pad for our smoker in our backyard. They did an absolutely phenomenal job in only two days, and we are thrilled with the result. Bobby and Lance came out to do a very thorough estimate, providing more information up front than any other company we met with. The Foreman, Junior, and his crew worked efficiently and cleanly and even moved the smoker into place for us before leaving – something we did not expect! We would recommend Waterloo to anyone in Austin looking to add turf to their yard. Our toddler and dog are both already enjoying it. Before and after photos show the incredible difference.
